Santa Ana’s are a common occurrence, even at the intensities I mentioned. What has been uncommon is the 5 power surges we have had since I posted earlier today. Fully expecting a power outage at some point today so I shut down all the computers and electronics after the second surge.

Today was Special. The Lieutenant called my office and asked me to meet him so I could tour the Airbase. He was working on radios on a Beach 300 series but across the way I watched some Apache’s start up and taxi. It was such a cool thing to see. Of course I could not take any photos but I had to share this anyway. The baddies have to think twice now that the '64s are here.

Those the ISR King Airs that L3 operates? I had a friend that applied for that job. Lots and lots of hours of circling locations letting the sensors guys do their thing. Quick way to build a TON of time…but that is some droning and droning flying…
