The good news is, it’s only going to get worse.
Interesting, it takes me longer to get the tubeless tyres on my road bike rims than it took you to do that. Usually involves lots of swearing, similar panting and grunting.
Maybe I should use a sledge hammer as well.

This afternoon Mrs Bodge disturbed my VR session to let me know about some “amazing clouds” in the dusk sky - so I went for a look - armed with my SX160.
Yes, pretty smart - so we watched local TV news this evening and sure enough - the weatherman showed some photo’s very similar to mine, taken from a village about 10 miles north of us, and told us all about them.
Apparently they are formed at between 10 and 15 miles high, above the Arctic and consist of crystalline ice particles. The proper name is “nacreous”.
I thought my camera had been unable to capture their true look, from what i saw in the viewfinder display, but they did come out quite well, so pleased with that.

I have considered tubeless but tbh I can fix a flat in about 3-5min if I have CO2. A lot of times I don’t even need tyre levers to get the Conti GP 4-Seasons on the rim.

Totally agree. It was when I was commuting on my bike a few years ago and had a sense of humour failure after 3 punctures in a 12 miles/20km ride that I went that route.
I’ve gone back to conti 4 seasons tuned again now. Remvoving the fear of trying to get the tubeless tyre off if I needed to, with only small tyre levers was such a relief.
Still use tubeless on the MTB’s because of the benefit of low pressure grip.
