Not exactly a success story, but it’s certainly an interesting design.

I am guessing Disney World, Florida and not Disneyland, California.

Yup! Big difference leaving freezing weather and walking out into a hot, muggy day!

(Is it bizarre i spent so much of the flight comparing what i was seeing to MSFS clouds?)

So, there we were, flying north east, when this guy climbed over the horizon dropped a stage and scooted away on a north westerly heading…

Well seeing a rocket launch like this is pretty special I’d say.

The chalk cliffs in Jasmund National Park are always impressive though. My favourite time of year is around Mai when the beech trees are starting to sprout. I love the colour of beech trees in spring. The green is so intense.

These two crossed our path, up here in the high north. One going to Los Angeles and the other to Dallas.

Here they are now, only 4 hrs later, still holding hands… The world sure is small, up here on the top.

Can we come back to the “dropping the stage” shot? What the Hades? Seriously. That’s an amazing thing to see from the air! What vehicle was it that was launching?

Yeah, it was quite spectacular.
I’ve seen it before, and that was even cooler. The stage sep. left a cloud that looked kind of iridescent.
This time there was a twirling white cloud surrounding the tumbling stage as it fell back to earth. Lost sight of it when it entered the horizon shadow.

Intel says it was a Soyuz 2.1v.
