They are very nice. It’s all either public back roads that barely see any car traffic or farm roads that are closed for regular car traffic.
This is between the small towns of Alpen and Issum on the Lower Rhine.

Moms made some pretty good progress today. The puzzle is 40 pieces wide by 25 pieces high and she filled in the first 19 rows and almost all of the 20th row from the bottom.
Less than 200 pieces left to assemble before this puzzle is finish.
This and the prior puzzle she assembled I bought when my Dad and I went to the Route 66 museum in Victorville a few weeks ago.

Looks like a salamander, nice
Rarely see salamanders these days. When I was a kid what seemed like hundreds of salamanders would suddenly appear for whatever reason. I have a vision in my mind of hundreds of salamanders slithering down the streets of our small town. Perhaps a memory distorted with time.
