Where You Are Photos (2020)

I spent a lot of time looking at the metro 6R4 and he said why are you looking at that old boxy car Daddy

I’d be interested to know how that roof would react to a hurricane…it looks…sort of “lifty”. Although I guess without the bottom component of high pressure, maybe the low pressure would have enough differential. Not that we know how lift works of course (as was explained to me by fellow Mudspikers!). I wonder if there are vortex generators on top? Maybe it is a STOL building. Does it use TKS or is it a heated leading edge? So many questions…

Omfg that pink monstrosity, what is that?!

Also, tell Obi he’s entirely right and planes and helicopters are indeed way, way cooler. Rockets and dinosaurs too.

The Kirby Kadet Mk3 flew in the same way that a brick doesn’t

That. My friend is the updated Ford version of "lady penelope’s Rolls Royce from the live action remake of the CLASSIC! “thunderbirds” TV show from my youth. Its a rabbit hole so be warned…but its awesome.
The puppet version is awesome not the live action…or the stupid animated reboot.
The puppets rule.

A few still flying in vintage glider collections. A few more flying with a VW engine in the front seat. Climb is proportional to the curve of the earth. A very cheap aircraft to buy

Going to burn you out now Victor. When I joined Eastern I found this sitting outside the sim suite. I never got to fly it. It is visible if you look carefully on google earth. I should mention Easterns code is T3, hence Richard Lake adding this to his flyable Spitfire, Buchon and Strikemaster fleet. (plus lots of flash cars)

Well, last night was a complete bust. It did clear up, however not to the north were the comet is in the sky… Better luck next week I guess, although the forecast doesn’t look too promising. At least I already have some decent shots of Neowise…

Here’s something else instead:

My brother and I drove from Oklahoma to Arches Natl Park in Utah on Sunday. Still here. Clouds at sunset finally gave way last night as we hiked up to Delicate Arch and caught both the comet and Milky Way. But I feel your pain. I tried for the comet back home and the wind was so bad it ruined every shot.

Oh No! :grimacing:

Kids eventually figure out how to entertain themselves - if the parents guide them; lets make a sundial, or a lean-to. Or start a fire with our survival kit…

Have Ring video of one trying to get in our front door - on the second level of the house! A good flight of stairs up. Bunch of them here and they have no fear of people. You have to mind when you take the trash out - not too early.

Yeah…we put 12 miles on the boys today. They handled it well…the trails were pretty rugged and rocky…I was proud of them.
