Great, thanks. I think my biggest concern was not being able to use my control setup on his server … but now I’m thinking that I just can’t use someone else’s equipment?! Is this correct?
Controls set up - Mine seemed to work fine on single player as well with Dead_meats server. So that “shouldn’t” be an issue.
As far as I know (until the question of handing off ownership is answered) then yes, you can’t operate someone else’s equipment.
OK, have an answer and I think this makes sense. Obviously English is not the posters first language.
NOT the person who unlocked the truck have it!!
Each player have the same ammount of locked trucks, but not on the same place and not the same cars!
Its possible that some cars on the same spot, but there are also spots where is no car for you, but you can unlock it for your mate when you pass this spot.
You see on the map just your markers from your cars. Your friend can have other markers.
So from what I understand is we all have the same amount of vehicles each, but may not be the same types. Vehicles are not co-located.
All the vehicles on the map will be allocated to the players. I.e. If only 4 vehicles on map of 4 different types E.g. b131, b150, a240, c130 (just made those up)
Then player one might get B131 plus c130 and player two gets B150 plus a240. The trick is that these cars are spread over the map. So if player two drives past and unlock a car/truck assigned to player one, it is then unlocked for player one and player two cannot drive it. But at least it is now available to player one.
I now understand this + another difference from the original (limited amount of configurations per vehicle). This is a design to encourage use of multiple vehicles (where one vehicle used to do all in the original) and by design that will encourage exploration of the map to find said vehicles to unlock.
So in essence, depending on spawn location and initial vehicle assignments. One player may not have access to a vehicle at the starting garage, but an unlock-able one should be accessible close by.
I think spawn locations and vehicles are random assignments. If I am correct, and you have that problem again, try restarting the server to see if allocation of the vehicles changes so both of you have a vehicle at the starting garage.
That makes sense (to me, dunno if my ramblings make sense to anyone else)
Yup, that makes sense and explains why rhino saw a truck out in the field for me. It can be VERY confusing for the first time multiplayer though … I spawned into rhino’s server and couldn’t do a dang thing because ALL the vehicles around us where his. Next time that happens, we’ll just do a server restart as you mentioned.
Thanks for interpreting that guy’s message.
Weird. You’d think theyd put a condition that spawns at least 1 vehicle per person.
So Ive done all but the last challenge, Ive only got three stars on Visit Grandma’s and Crossing a river, Anyone tried to pull the beast out of the lake in Delivery mission??
not done any challenges so far, just been playing on the maps. How is Grandma ?
