I remember. I gave those guys the benefit of every doubt over those years…because I wanted it to happen so much. I don’t think I realized it was X-Plane based…
As an ex-Challenger 604 driver, this would almost tempt me back to XP11.
Welcome Back X-Plane 11 still loves you after your betrayal…
Betrayal or not, I’m going to have a hard time justifying investing more money on XP11 aircraft…
Well I should probably fact-check that. But that was my memory. I distinctly remember being surprised that Austin would be OK with it because the violent nature of the concept seemed at odds with what I thought was his guiding philosophy. Then others mentioned (at the time) that X-Plane had rudimentary weapons.
With my command training coming up I decided to check out Zibo’s 738 in XP11 for the lack of PMDG’s version for MSFS and I am pleasantly surprised!
She can be configured just like we fly her at work (displays and bells and whistles) and the systems seem to behave like to real thing so far!
As I am going to use it as a procedure/flow trainer I don’t care for fancy scenery as I’ll be having CAT 1 weather at best anyway.
So its a nice compact install footprint as well. Happy camper here.
confirmed
FighterOps is based on X-Plane, which features an extremely solid codebase.
From the article:
“Whenever a release is delayed, simmers react like donees who have been denied the organ for a transplant operation.”
You lookin at me?
For those interested in the Hot Start Challenger 650, a video from a source new to me:
If I were to review it on my channel, in the title I’d likely insert words like: “Crazy”, “Insane”, detail…". But I’m not, and I won’t. When you can drive the de-icer truck, spray the fluid yourself, and see it on the wings…oh, and sit on the toilet seat! Avian Impact Damage anyone? It’s in there.
If you’re a systems geek (aren’t we all?) it goes much, much deeper.
