X-Plane 11 Screens

That was a terrible incident and such an incredibly selfish act. It just blows my mind.

Probably because it is a whole lot less sophisticated. I have asked them to change a few things. One, even though the cockpit really is huge IRL, the virtual width outboard of the seats is almost a foot too far. The tiller should be just a few inches left of your hand. In the FF version you would need arms like mine to reach it. I move my virtual seat about 8 inches forward and maybe 4-5 inches up to match how I sit IRL. Sitting naturally in the real thing means that the yoke blocks much of the map display. The yoke is lower in the FF version which is probably so that the screen stays in view for 2D players. The initial acceleration at full power and a moderate takeoff weight is way low. The -300 is actually a screamer as far as buses go.

Just a few more…
Oakland to Seattle.

I’m still very ham fisted with the airplane, but I’m pretty happy that I can get it from point A to point B without bending any metal.

Sometimes I feel the same.

One of the touches I really love about the FF 757 was the way the altitude preselect rolls and sort of has a mechanical feel for it where it bounces ever so slightly and settles onto the proper value. It is a really subtle touch that adds a ton of authenticity.

One of my forever gripes about some of the X-Plane modules is the length of time or the mechanics that some developers choose for rolling things like heading knobs, altitude preselects, or radio frequencies. We all know it generally takes a few seconds at most to set those with a few quick twists…but in some sims I’ll spend a minute trying to get that darn hotspot activated and then watch it roll with agonizing slowness. I think FlyJSims also gets this right with the speed and accuracy with which you can manipulate knobs.

I have to say, it oozes quality. I never thought I would spend over $100 on an X-Plane aircraft, but from what I have seen today, it is worth every penny. Of course, now I want the 757 as well.

I picked the 757 simply because I love the look of it and always have. Those long main gear legs and that slightly downswooped nose…the thing looks like a bird of prey on final approach. Not begruding the 767, but the 757 is just a sexy looking bird.

You are not wrong Chris! I have quite a few Org Store points saved, so I suspect I will have the 75 before too long.

I blame @smokinhole for making me go into this pad without having practiced a bit with the old Mi-2 for over a year. Thought I had all three tires on the pad, but the back ones weren’t, hit the tail…lost the tailrotor and it was all over after that of course. Just bottom the collective and hold on.

So I set my secondary computer up to churn through making some Ortho4XP tiles for X-Plane surrounding Machmell Fisheries and after five hours of grinding away at it and 36GB later (!) it looks glorious! I think I have coverage all the way down to Vancouver now…

Wow! Maybe you can post a step-by-step on the old Ortho thread.

When you have time. It’s not as if you don’t have other things to do

Or better yet, maybe I can send you a hard drive and you can install it and send it back! After all, :notes: That’s what (Mudspike) Friends are For :notes:

Seriously, 5 hours? Yikes!

…so I’m gonna be in your part of the state later in the month, @BeachAV8R. I could bring a flash drive.

He decided that all this time his life has been a lie. Finally he had to confront his sexuality. He began the gender conversion process soon after they married and moved in together at the lighthouse. She kicked him out, packed up the Husky and flew her broken heart to Alaska. While there she too came to terms with her confusion about her status as a woman and began her own rough journey of gender conversion. They are now together again back in the lighthouse and gender-swapped as man and wife. Mostly, their life is now one of constant confusion about what to do with the toilet seat.

Yep. That’s the ending I should have gone with.

I wrote a dumb story reflecting my infatuation with Propstrike Studios. Read at your own risk.

Definitely will…! Give me about a week or so and I should be able to put that together. Probably less. It is actually very simple and if I can grab some screens of what I did.

Sounds like a Cohen Brothers film!
