I purchased the Digital Replica C310L just before the MilViz 310 came out. There didn’t seem much point in buying what was essentially the same airplane. The DR version is pretty good too. I like the worn, cluttered panel.

Has anyone gotten the freeware T-6 Texan to work? The WWII trainer.
And I’m looking at the BFDG Embraer A-29 over at the X-plane store. Any thoughts? I wish we had a solid modern prop trainer, like the IRIS T-6 Texan II Driver.
I have not heard great things about BFDG - so I’d use caution there. The A-29 looks a fair bit better than some of their stuff like the C-130, but I’d definitely wait for a sale. Usually there is an Independence Day sale at the ORG if I recall…

I found the interior passenger cabin modeling very unrealistic. The male passenger has a hot blond cutie sitting next to him and he’s looking out the window??? Very unrealistic!

Nice looking free/donation-ware Tromso, Norway (ENTC) - wasn’t that one of the airports I flew out of in DiD’s EF2000 2.0? Anyway…TDG usually has some pretty high quality airports - not exact replicas, but enough to give you the feel.

I just received the email announcement that the Carenado Falcon 50 has been released at their site. I think I will have to get this one as I’m always looking for good business jets (still waiting for a Global!)… I’m sure the systems modeling won’t be exactly study level, but she sure does look good! Pity about the default Laminar FMS’ but it does support the GTN750, which makes any FMS look clunky.

First impressions… I like it. The airplane feels believable. With full flaps and slats, she handles well at low airspeed, so I’m thinking short runways won’t be much of a problem (and Falcon’s are well known for this).

I’m waiting for this Falcon in X-Plane because I fly 2 of their free airplanes a lot (Lisa Akoya and Robin DR401) but nothing that they currently sell is up my alley
