X-Plane Releases Thread (2020)

I didn’t buy any of the Dolomite releases. But Everest, Matterhorn and Mont Blanc are all terrific. The Dolomite group taken together are over $100. As a reflection of the work that’s gone into to it, it is probably more than fair. But as yet another mountainous playground it seemed…steep.

AirSpray looks like it could be a hoot! In the video there appears to be a spray kit for the Mi2. I could see @BeachAV8R having some fun with that.

I’m gonna defoliate all those pesky trees at Qatam River…haha…

Beach is feeling violent urges–a sure sign that he’s been spending far too much time on the civilian side of siming.

Haha…my last night on and then I get a four day break. Heading to BOS…that can’t help my mood… Of course, BOS these days is a shadow of what it was a year ago. Nobody on the GA ramp, no taxi delays…just quiet…will probably get direct CLT from the departure controller at 2AM…

Don’t you ALWAYS get direct? You’ve got that medivac card.

Well, we (GA) are no longer allowed to stay at KBOS for more than 4 hours… so it seems everyone goes to KBED instead.

Mostly DIRECT…but not too much during primetime hours…we still get the SIDs and STARs. We were on a route tonight, but they gave us direct with deviations approved when I asked for Sea Isle to avoid that crud at the top of the Delmarva peninsula. I’m not sure why Flight Aware still has us enroute since we landed 30 minutes ago…

Umm, they weren’t FlightAware that you had landed?

The The Dreamfoil Bell 407 is supposed to be very good, right?

It is fantastic! The sounds are very well done, especially the deep throated blade-slap when flying under a load. We it came out I took some time to benchmark it in various phases of flight and compare it to the performance section of the FOM. It was off by maybe 5% at the most.

Responding to below. Great! I should have mentioned to be sure to get the XP11 version, not the XP10 (which is still sold at the dot-org store.)

Excellent - added to the stable :+1:

I was looking at either that one or the Eurocopter.

Also, anybody tried out the Lodestar?

I like it. I don’t think it is study level, but I enjoyed flying it. I’m thinking about using it for the Christmas trek this year, assuming that we don’t get some decent 3rd party aircraft for MSFS very soon.

I even got the right version, albeit may have been due to luck rather than attention to detail
