My track pad is activated just by touching. I don’t need to press it. If I do, it triggers moving position. So, just touch it to bring up the menu, and pull trigger to select. W definitely works. I also signed a button on my joystick
Same here on an Index/Nvidia combo, no display in right eye.
What fixed it for me was setting Visual effects to High(HDR). All Visual effects settings below that does not render the right eye display for some reason.
Overall Vulkan seems to have improved performance quite a bit for me, especially on the gfx card side. Very low Gpu frametimes now, compared to before.
But I don’t know, X-Plane graphics still seems pretty bland and dreary I think, especially compared to DCS.
Interesting… i will have to try that. I had the one eye not rendering problem in VR but had the visual effects set to medium.
OK, that solved the VR issue for me… and WOW! what a difference. It’s a lot smoother, even when using OrbX TrueEarth scenery. It might be my imagination, but it seems that Oculus ASW is working without the previous issues too, so the whole experience in the RiftS is remarkably smoother.
Does it matter what type of VR you have? Rift-S
I don’t think it matters Will… @dachsdk was using a Valve Index, and his solution to the one eye not rendering problem also worked for me (Rift S)…
Oh, something else to mention… if you have OrbX TrueEarth Washington, and Israel’s Farm airport, you will need to uninstall Israel’s farm, otherwise, if you try to launch from within TE Washington’s area, XP will CTD.
Needless to say, I will be sticking with 11.5 even if it is a little rough around the edges.
Wow. That ORBX issue is a bit odd but just the kind of thing Betas are supposed to catch. 11.5 is still in Beta, yes?
Very much still in Beta. I’m guessing there will be several Beta updates before they consider it a wrap. Something else I found… I’m still using Fraps to take screenshots. It’s a very obsolete program (last updated in 2013), but it worked well enough…but not with Vulkan it seems. I need to find an alternative I guess,
NVidia ShadowPlay seems to work well for me…
Hmmm:>
Beta 2 fixes the following bugs:
- XPD-10569 VR Right eye not working with Vulkan.
and
Known bugs of the beta include:
- XPD-10569 VR Right eye not working with Vulkan.
So I guess it may be fixed
VR – the right eye is fixed! It turns out this was broken twice; we have fixed both bugs.
Yeah…but is it worth the cost?
Beta version 3 is out for x-plane. Also if you are having issues in VR with only one eye rendering, apparently disabling AntiAliasing will fix it?
Really cool. Our company used to operate 222s when I was first hired decades ago. That thump-thump-thump was way more pronounced than the buzz-saw of the ECs…
Cue Airwolf music…
I remember that show…I did Google it and, sadly, the original Airwolf helicopter met a tragic fate…
After the show was canceled, the modifications were removed from the aircraft and are now owned by a private collector. The helicopter was repainted and eventually sold to the German helicopter charter company, Hubschrauber-Sonder-Dienst (aka HSD Luftrettung and Blue Helicopter Alliance), and given the registration number D-HHSD. While operating as an air ambulance the helicopter crashed into a mountain because of fog on June 6, 1992, killing all three of its occupants.
