Please… explain for those not versed in the Albion-Speak?
She wanted to see what i looked like, without a shirt on and covered in sweat. And to see if i could hang for the full 90 minutes at 105 degrees.
Aaaah, in that way, ok. Thanks. I’m going to bleach my mind’s eyes.
Went out for either a speedy 3k or a easy 5k since I didn’t feel like it, it’s cold and dark outside. Hardly any wind though, so did a 7.5k and broke 2 segments PR’s(strava thing) and broke my PR for the 5K!
Glad I went running today instead of yesterday.
And to keep you guys motived, I knocked down a pack of these already this week. bought 5KG of it for a friend but unfortunately with packaging weight I had to cut it down a little. Even managed to run on two of these delicious bastards!
I just ate a delicious burger with lots of bacon and sauteed onions, cheese and mushrooms, and a bunch of fries.
Oh right, the fitness part… I had to carry up a short flight of stairs to the elevator and then walk to my desk.
Don’t worry. Fries and condiments are my dinner tonight!
Another day of quiet at the Y. Old guys, professionals around my age, and a handful of I’m guessing either soccer or volleyball players. Group classes seem to be full, but the pool and weight rooms have been dead. Started throwing in some Oly lifts, and it’s been nice to have a whole mat area to myself for that.
Oh, a empty pool sounds nice! Swimming is easily the best way to stay in shape!
One of my buddies and I start swimming together next week. My strokes need a lot of work though.
OK maybe it is just me but that sounded a bit… less than hetero. Must be the long time in the Navy living in confined spaces with lots of other men…
Well, the other guy was Air Force, so…
I am going to loose weight just reading this whole thread Keep it up guys!
My Thursday outing with my cycling club confirmed that I’m just not up to it at the moment. 70km of sheer hell. There’s something a little demoralising about a group of blokes waiting for you at the top of every hill and believe me where I live there a lot of hills
Anyways tomorrow morning is a gentle 60km trundle, finishing off in the clubhouse with vin chaud and grilled sausages to celebrate the new year and season. With that on offer I’m aiming to arrive in the bunch. End of first week though, cycled a total of 140km & I’ve lost 1.5kg so can afford 2 sausage sandwiches easy
With the threat of Snowmegeddon II looming, most offices in Atlanta were clearing out by 12:30. Ironic because we were just lightly dusted.
Getting home early, I spent about 4 hours cleaning up the home gym, which had become the alternate storage room. Been that way since our first child was born 6 years ago. Then proceeded to do weights and treadmill run. Today is very painful. “Weakness leaving the body” they say. Whatever. Tomorrow will be worse
Don’t overdo the running! It’s very easy to give yourself an injury if you kick it off too hard. With running, feeling exhausted is not always the right way to run.
I had to learn that the hard way. Twice. I ran and had fun, so I ran more, then every day, too fast and too often. Then my kneecap dislocated again (and yes that hurts a lot), stopping running for several weeks.
EDIT: also crawling half a mile to get cell phone coverage turned out as less fun than you might think.
The worst part of it is that feeling and fear that it can and probably will happen again.
That’s fracking hilarious.
Down a single pound so far to 160. Target weight is 153.
