Alright…finished up building ortho for Montana…so I think I pretty much have my entire Air Hauler northwest quadrant created. I still need to build some ortho for the southern half of Alberta…and I would really love to have some for the entire Inside Passage. I’d be thrilled if Orbx tackled that area next and started working their way up to Alaska…
Some scenes around Montana…the first two you can see some cloud artifacts that show up as slightly white areas. It actually doesn’t look too bad as long as there isn’t a lot of cloud coverage…it almost looks like patches of snow areas…
I have no idea (at all) how the Virtual Airline thing works in Air Hauler 2. I assume we all contribute to a whole, but is there a central owner and do you only fly for that outfit or can you simultaneously fly for yourself and a VA?
Good. Because I want my losses to be mine and not piled into the losses of Mudspike Air Cargo or whatever we are going to call it… We shall eat cake until they foreclose on all our fleet!
Interesting - but I do wonder if Reality Expansion will trump that…probably. If you overtorque the Kodiak, it will quit on you. And that off airport landing will result in some Air Hauler penalty of some sort I’d imagine. Gonna need @Victork2 to come with his flatbad and take our plane to the nearest airport!
Post later on says x-plane failures will work but they won’t be recorded by AH. So if you have an engine quit in your model, the results (hard landing for example) would be recorded, and REP will remember it’s stuff, but AH2 won’t record the plane with a dead engine. Just what date it simulated from its own parameters.
Meanwhile, over on the Just Flight section of the Org Forum…
From JFScott:
“Quick update - final testing continues and although there’s a chance it could well be ready for a release at some point tomorrow that’s not a certainty and is also going to pose too much of a risk (releasing it late in the day just prior to a weekend) so it’s more likely to be next week for release. Unless you hear otherwise from us I’d plan for that outcome currently. Thanks.”
