Are you at a high altitude airport? Maybe the engines needed leaning for idle power? - Oh…you mean they just jumped back to idle cutoff? LOL…yes, that can get exciting.

I used to get by with not doing that in the P3D version (not exiting the sim and just picking up a new flight) - but I haven’t had a chance to explore the X-Plane version yet…so jury is still out on that. You might need to exit though since the instructions for AH2XP specifically say to select “Resume Last Flight”…and then AH2 sets your fuel and payload apparently. I’ll get back to you if I observe anything useful…

I hear ya.
So far, I prefer it to FSEconomy. Guess I’m just more familiar with it from the P3D version. We’ll see how it goes. The P3D version was forever in “early access” mode it seemed.
I mean… It’s one flight per aircraft you need to sacrifice be for. Worst case have your kid read the prompts for you if you have a kid? I dunno.

Give it a month or two, I’d bet there’ll be a lua script fixing that eventually.
So it looks like you can pick a job for your own company, then transfer it to the Virtual Airline if you’d like to fly it for the VA. I’m assuming that once you are done with the job - the aforementioned 75% of the fee will go back to you personally, and 25% will go to the VA. I’m testing a flight right now to see.
Again - I will write up a new thread for beginners and intro, but no sense getting to involved until I learn some of this stuff.

Oh yeah - I need to change everyone’s permissions to allow for that. I can’t do it right at the moment because I’m enroute. As soon as I land I’ll switch everyone over.
And nobody should feel obligated to fly for MAD - feel free to just do your thing and if you want to do some of the community stuff, by all means… I’m going to do a bit of both and FSE…
You don’t have to shut it completely down, as in mags, batteries, etc, just shut off the fuel so the engine(s) comes to a stop. If I’m in a hurry, I just taxi off of the active and shut the fuel off. Otherwise, I’ll taxi to the terminal and do a normal shutdown checklist. Don’t forget to unload the freight back in AH.
What was cool in Freight Dogs was that you had to taxi to a designated freight area before you would get credit for the flight.
Is there an icon of me moving across the Air Hauler map or the “Radar” screen out of KEAT to KPSC?
Oh…I see another plane on the map coming outbound…LOL…it doesn’t show who it is on my Flight Tracker map…or maybe Wander - Cessna Skyhawk…?

A couple other notes - I have Traffic Global running, but at zero planes right now as I test. Likewise, I do NOT have Active Sky running either. I want to ease plug-ins in and see how they interact. I saw a post on the Just Flight forums that perhaps some REP planes might not be totally compatible - but I cannot verify that. The developer is aware of it and is looking into it.
Keep in mind - we are on Day 1 launch…so I expect some of these things to be addressed.
I am not currently flying in VR…but in a “normal” flight you do get prompts to “Start up and Taxi” “Continue to Destination and Land” and “Taxi and Shutdown” or something…and those are pop up boxes. So if you can’t see them in VR, well…those aren’t super complex things and they are expected for every flight…but I’d hope the developer can either make them visible in VR or give audio that says what they say. Regardless - you do get a “ding” when that happens…so you at least would have a clue to cheat under the headset…

I just did a quick search of their forum and no mention of VR (was real quick search though).
I’m in the AH MAD VA RADAR right now and don’t seen anything.

This is what I’m seeing currently on the Flight Tracker (the one when you are on a mission/job and you can’t really close out of it or peruse other Air Hauler menus)…

There is a new Air Hauler portal/dashboard that shows a radar, VAs, reputation and stuff.
Might I mention that X-Plane is damned ALT-TAB friendly…I can pretty much do anything while that thing is running in the background…
