I always thought that a non-combat aircraft, like a c-130, would be the prefect platform to convince the community that civilian flying would be a positive addition to DCS. I would not mind flying supply runs around or dropping some paratroopers.

I’m not sure I’d ever want to fly them, but I’d love to see a couple of regional and wide body passenger jets added to the DCS library.
One of my biggest complaints about the way DCS is set up mission wise is that there is a red and a blue side, things are hostile or friendly. I want an ambiguous green or white side to complicate things. The last decade or so has shown there isn’t necessarily a binary switch between war and not war. Tragedies like MH317 have shown something as paltry as a shooting war isn’t always enough to effect commercial airways. The current… how to politely describe charlie foxtrot… demonstrate it’s not always clearly us versus them, but sometimes us and them vs they and they and them vs we.
As a mission maker I’m fond of the idea of having real doubt in the opening missions of a campaign as to whether the bogey you’re supposed to intercept is really a baddy, some lost commercial pilot, or a baddy impersonating a lost commercial pilot. How good are you as a pilot at interpreting the radar when you have to break the goats out from the sheep? You have a shot on a bandit, but can you be sure it isn’t going to bite off on that massive wide body instead? What if a wiley bandit starts infiltration using some unwitting civilian as a hat?
All are options that enrich gameplay.
I’d also settle for one of the more “tactical” trash haulers like a C-17, C-130, or C-27. I would also probably enjoy something like a Twin Otter or AN-26.

Yes, and they’ll have anguished ace combat style radio calls like. “Why?” “We’re a diplomatic mission” “ohno” “you monster”
And very beach will be in an A-10 with a script flipping the EAC switch off every minute.

I just keep adding stuff to do…
At first it was just a few boats with cargo on them
Then I added an “oil rig replenishment” ops
And now I’m working on adding a few speedboats that you have to intercept.
It should be MP friendly too, up to 12 players
