When you guys are grabbing all these screenies when you are flying on-line with others, are you taking them as the flight occurs or are you doing it through some sort of replay? If a replay, how do you tell the sim to save it? Seems like when I’m on servers there is no option for that save…
Yah I’m usually in F2 half the time. Though I’m mostly taking pics on the way to or from targets, or if I’ve died I’ll grab some of the people I’m flying with.
From last (a very frustrating) night on HolloPoint that spent getting blasted out of the sky by stealth Su-27’s I finally got some good mud snow moving done.
Took the Uh-1 out and hunted some enemy convoys near the airbase which turned out to be great fun at night. Lots of tracers!
your multiplayer tracks are automatically saved. You can go to replay in the main menu. You can then find the replays you’re after in the multiplayer folder.
oooooooo, you said a bad word…
lol, yes I did experience posters regret after that post
?? Even back in the day, when they did ASW I don’t seem to remember more than a half dozen on the ship. 1986-1988. The last deployment on STENNIS, 2004, I’m pretty sure it was 4…3 after we lost one.
!! I posted my source, I picked two cvws, looked at their deployments in the 80s and 90s and that’s the numbers of aircraft I saw assigned. If it’s inaccurate take it up with that guy.
Were the Supers taking up most of the tanking duties by '04?
It strikes me we could really use a Super for AI use at a minimum, if ED is going ahead with a '05 Legacy Bug.
I was resetting and configuring HOTAS profiles for my Russian aircraft. Took a few pics of the test flight.
They were by the time CVW-14, the air wing @Hangar200 deployed with in 2004, started doing workups with us in early-2005.
Or Big Wing Air Force tanker support over the Gulf or the 'Stan.
TFW you think you’re finally about to get it in terms of aerial refueling, but the dog decides he needs to “help.”
That paint scheme for some reason always reminds me of DISH (Digital Integration Super Hornet)…remember that one?
One of my favourite schemes as it reminds me of the Avro Arrow!
AKA iF/A-18E Super Hornet?
I got screwed on that one. I played (and loved) the hell out of iF-22 a couple of years earlier, so I was eager to play a similar title with naval ops. Unfortunately, I had the CTD bug but didn’t know about the FOV fix.
I tried for a few months to play it, got frustrated, and gave up. It was right before I started visiting combatsim and simhq, and people on CServe weren’t really talking sims anymore, so I forgot about it.
I found about the FOV fix about 15 years later.
Yes…they sure were…much to the chagrin of some Rhino pilots.
VS-35 (Blue Wolves) were our S-3 squadron. Think we only had 4 aboard. Technically they were a “Sea Control” squadron…but the aircrew showed up at Fo’c’sle Follies wearing TEXACO gas station shirts.
But that was the last deployment. Somewhere in this forum, posted a photo of the last S-3 CAT shot.
While I know guys that would disagree with me, I actually didn’t mind being a tanker squadron. No, it’s not the “coolest” mission but it meant two extra jets, extra flight hours, and, with relatively little prep work involved, it at times offered a nice change of pace from the other, more tactical, flights we were doing.
Nice! Was it just in the last open beta then?
