All you trim clickers need to just hold the button down when you move the cyclic.

Actually-.-- what with this… (Trim Click) thing?

I had no idea either. Then I flew the KA-50 in detail for the first time last night. To find out, you must as well.

I played the yesterdays mission again and brought it to its conclusion. After getting this message my wingman ejected due to fuel starvation, I still had over 7000 lbs of fuel left …

Just before the break.

Fighting with the trim on the downwind. Was probably too high here.

In the groove.

Snagging 3rd wire. Looks like I still got it. Jester let his cowboy side took over with his “Yee-haw! 3rd wire!” comment.

Unfortunatelly the mission didn’t registered as completed - got this error at the debriefing screen. Not a big deal since I think it was the last sortie in this campaign. Maybe the bug has something to do with the inclusion of 2 new separate versions of this campaign (cold and dark / hot start), while I’m still playing the firstly released initial one?

Yeah…wingman AI. I’m pretty good about sending my wig home when he reports Bingo Fuel. Yet they still seem to run out of gas and eject…so what’s the point of Bingo? It would be nice if we could set a wingman Bingo in the ME.

I assume that you launched first. You need to loiter near the carrier (or airfield) for your wingman to join up so he doesn’t have to catch up to you. If you go off on the mission–even if you go slower (350 KIAS)–your wingman will go really fast to catch up. I once had a Mirage 2000C wingman going supersonic in full burner to catch up with me…and yeah, he ran out of gas and ejected.

In this mission #2 launched just seconds after me and joined up pretty quickly. I presume he burned most his fuel when I left him go free hunting past FEBA after SEAD and STRIKE packages pushed. The thing is that even if AI is flying the same plane as yourself with the same loadout (same drag) he will still use different power setting while staying on your wing (you can check his power setting in F2 view on the status bar). It’s old issue in DCS.

Also the bug with the debriefing file is present in the other campaign as well.

In the RW, a wingman always uses more fuel than “dash 1” because of the constant throttle movements to stay on the wing. Not sure how it plays out in DCS.

I never leave my wingman.

Do you have the C101?
I want you to fly a CAS mission with a wingman using rockets and stick with him on his attack run.

I’m dangerous.

Cold’n’Dark challenge again

It’s a ‘BIT’ hard…

I’m aware of that, nevertheless the amount of fuel your wingman burn is way to excessive. Especially when they use lower thrust settings enroute (again visible in their F2 views).

IIRC, that’s been an issue since FC 1, and I definitely remember it being a thing in Jane’s F/A-18 Superhornet.
