Man that’s beautiful…I assume that first part was the part you got docked the 20 seconds for driving around the cars? LOL…

I need all the help I can get. I encourage you to spend a lot of time behind the ropes…

hmm. Video doesn’t look near as good as my regular gameplay does. Though I’m at 1440p.

Rendering the video of stage 1 as well we speak, was nice to actually go green in a few sections for once. Shame I had to put it through the video editor just to make the sound legible.

I was not good in the hairpins this time around :frowning: (HD now up, 4k maybe at some point)

Nicely done @Mudcat. :+1:

I’ll try and get a video up later today.

It looks like you guys just run the replay and start recording?

Thanks,

It’s an easy way to do it, plus it sort of forces a short break between stages you may not take otherwise.

My first stage. If you watch close enough you can see my mistake

And yes one of the last hairpin turns I forgot left from right.

And my 2nd stage, better flow in this one

Hang about. That’s my co-driver. Has he been moonlighting again?

I use OBS for recording and shotcut to cut/export. No clue about the formats…

Most of the time, yes.

I’ve managed to have a go at recording using GeForce Experience as a test driving the River Severn stage.

It’s a bit shaky as it’s via my Oculus view of driving and I’m not sure how to record the replay in 2D. I’ll upload to the tube in a while.

I tinkered with this a lot last night and finally came to a happy place at about 2 am (which is why I can’t see straight this morning). You need to download OBS and record the mirrored output from your Oculus software. There are quit a few YouTube tutorials about this. I’m using an HP Reverb, so not sure how to turn on Oculus mirror, but apparently it is pretty easy. Then set OBS to record or stream that mirrored output. There is also an OBS plug-in which will capture or stream directly from your headset, but I didn’t have much luck cropping it to where it looked presentable. And in my case the replays, never to look as good as when captured from 2D, because they are not full screen in VR. The cockpit capture does look good though. Will share my settings if anyone is interested. Not sure how good they are for streaming. Going to try that over the weekend. My upstream bandwidth is solid, but not sure how much twitch will drink from the hose

Lots of great camera angles in that S2 video. Love the water splash and river crossing over the bridge. New England looks amazing in Autumn.

Wish that there were some simulated drone shots. I’ve seen them in Sweden, so believe that they are tied to the location.

Thanks @chipwich, I’ll give that a go. :+1:

Nice work. Those Hairpins are kicking everyones ass. I’m curious how the real drivers handle them. Do they gymkhana around them or just slow to a crawl and get around it?

@chipwich im ready to see how its done. Live stream the VR!!!

Yeah…good question. I see I have a handbrake available but I’ve never used it. Maybe when I’m parked on a hill and going in to get another six pack…

I wonder if @guod and some of his buddies have any interest in Rally racing… I know they are mostly track guys, but I’d love to see some of their times on these stages.
