Reminds me of YSFlight simulator.

I remember tangling with Tomb in USNF 97! TBH I didn’t play as much of 97 as I should have, since I spent so much time in the earlier pre-Win95 versions, but I did play the Vietnam stuff as it was fresh.

Another fight with the Colonel, this time in Chuck Yeager’s Air Combat - grandfather of Fighters Series.

That one was a lot of fun . Invincible f-22s , bridges to fly under , and that bomb the train mission in the p51 was awesome . Not once did i ever bomb the train , kill both migs , and make it back . Despite their excellent teamwork , i generally managed to kill the migs , but the train was long gone . Or if i bored in on the train , i’d take damage from the migs and not get home .

Which game are you referring to? I’m lost…

Ah yes, Chuck Yeager’s Advanced Flight Trainer. I remember it! In 2.0 you could fly anything from simple Cessna to X-15.

I remember a few of those forgotten ones.

Disney’s Stunt Island I think? No combat but a wide variety of planes, an island, and various bizarre things you could try. If I recall, it had the X-15, SR-71 and Space Shuttle. You could input an altitude and speed and then go where you wanted.
The X-15 was great from an air start, as was the shuttle of course. You could simulate the landing, but it was unpowered.

Then there was Domark’s Flight Sim Toolkit where you built the plane yourself. I remember trying to make an A-10. It was moderately successful.

A-10 Cuba - old flight sim from Parsoft with astonishing flight and damage modelling at the time.

Similar style to A-10 Cuba, but this time improved with Voodoo graphics - early Glide(3dfx) capable card. This was back in 1997 - that’s 23 years ago. How the time flies …

That was an impressive sim.
Graphsim Hornet is actually available for iOS…

A10 Cuba and F18 Korea that’s the kind of graphics is enough for flight sim imo
I loved carrier landing training mission in F18 Korea.

I have high hopes for that Tiny Combat Arena.

Yeah, I’ve seen this on Why485’s twitter. Indeed looks like LHX - will have to keep my eye on it.
