OMFG
As someone who owned Amiga 500 back in the day, I always wanted to change it for a 1200
Must have been great time gaming, right?
If it is still working that is probably worth serious coin to a collector?
My one memory of Amiga was in college, watching a friend in his dorm playing a Batman side scroller game with graphics and sounds far superior to the 8086 at the time, while he was mass copying floppy disks with 3 or 4 attached drives at the same time for no hit in performance.
It was a great machine of its time. I sold my Amiga 500 to a friend whilst I was saving for it. I think there may be a 120mb HD Keets mod in it as well. Imagine a whole 120mb.
I’m not so sure. I might have to check.
I’m torn, rathole firing it up, or sell it.
I am keen to see what is on the hard drive.
A quick search shows they are going for upwards of £1000.00
Keep it!!!
I agree. Who knows how much someone will be prepared to buy it for if you ever do need the money sometime in the future.
A mate who is a bit of a collector of retro and rare gaming systems bought a Neo Geo and half a dozen ROM’s for nearly three grand a few years ago. The console itself wasn’t too expensive, but those (original) ROM’s are as rare as rocking horse poo apparently.
Lol, I remember the 9600 baud modem being attached by a chonky cable directly to the back of the PC… maybe it was a parallel port? But it’s been so long… surely it was a serial port?
And then if you managed to convince your dad to help you lug the PC and anchor-weight monitor to a friend’s house you connected two PCs together with a null-modem cable (that you made yourself by chopping up a cheap serial cable not by buying an overpriced one with a few wires switched in one end )
I still have a null modem cable somewhere…
It’s scalpers trying to make money. As I always say, just because the price on eBay is that, doesn’t mean they actually sell for that price.
Having sold some vintage stuff (Action man/GI Joe) on eBay before, I guarantee if I put it on eBay for anywhere near that, I’d be sitting on it this time next year.
What something is worth is only what people want to pay for it, not the ludicrous wish prices these scalpers want to set the price at.
Precisely this
Training manual aerial refueling and guns’ dogfighting (hard difficulty).
3 MiG-21 vs F-22 guns, guns, guns
The most difficult dogfighter in the whole game. EF 2000 is the beast!
I’m happy to beat finally one of the most difficult training missions: Rocket Attack.
One of the key points here is to survive the first minute because SAM is immediately firing at you, so you need to immediately to sea level as low as possible (SAM missile will fall to sea).
The second key point is to go high (10 000+ ft is safe for AAA guns on the missile boat) and get a speed around Mach 0,5 + as a minimum, for the short time leave the SAM circles are (defend MFD).
Check situations on defend and attack MFDs, lock first OSA2 missile boats, and use Wingman command Engage Hostile. Repeat this until all missile boats were sunk. My Wingman was able to sink 2 missile boats, so impressive performance.
The last key point, make sure that your course is different when trying a attack the same missile boat if a wingman is not successful. That also means that a wingman taking AAA fire upon himself.
From high altitude, speed, and angle of attack is possible to hit and sink a missile boat and also fastly leave the endangered area (AAA fire will start concentrating at you).
Despite, I got hit, the avionics failure (HUD blinking), and the fuel leak (that is a real problem), a wingman died, I was capable sink LCAC boats and finishing a training mission. It was so close to being completely out of fuel, and due to nervousness, I was not able to hit LCAC boats at the first attack.
Very difficult mission due to unguided rockets and other circumstances.
First time in history I finished this mission on hard difficulty. Precisely saying, for the first time in my life!
The sink GEPARD boat was not in plan.
Brilliant! Congratulations!

Thank you! Next time will try to survive without damage. Although we have BMS, DCS, and other modern titles I wish to have a modern version of the original DID F-22 Total Air War and EF 2000 of course a little bit improved, supporting natively modern systems and if possible with to finished ground war.
Well there is a dynamic campaign and Typhoon coming for DCS, and we already have the Kola map, so maybe by 2026 we will get next best thing.
by the end of 2026, I dunno what the 2027 and Beyond video is gonna be like… lol.
