Thank you. To be clear, I’m not a collector but if somebody would like to give me the things related to flying simulators (big boxes, HW, etc.) I will be happy. Have a plan (let’s say a project) stream on YT, and you know time to time I wrote a few articles.
PS: I would like to get at least big box DID games: TFX, EF2000, and F-22 ADF/TAW… and Janes WW2 Fighters, USNF, ATF, Anthology Fighters, Longbow series, etc.

I have most of those titles myself… I repacked them when we moved house a couple of years ago and it stirred up emotions. All those I bought in a physical store could be associated with a memory of where I got them. It’s not the same with downloads.

Can I post my collection? I’ve been working on it from the early 2000 until the abrupt stop at the tail end of 2024.
One day I might find some missing boxes but for the current foreseeable future I’m done.

I was really lucky (and meticulous), from that point of view. I never accepted to pay a single box more than 40 EUR - and more than a few came extremely cheap. More than a few were literally gifted to me as well- some empty and I just had to get the innards. Which is usually dirt cheap compared to the fullbox.
Some boxes took years to find in the right format- or cover- or language- or form the right part of the world…

You guys ever play (or should I say try to play) any interactive magic sims? Years ago I had the big boxes for iF/A-18E Carrier Strike Fighter and iF-22 but threw them out in a fit of pique after realizing despite the big manuals and keyboard foldouts they were just terrible sims.

I loved all the Interactive Magic sims. They were buggy and a bit weird but their campaign engines were wonderful.
Still own them all too.

I never play iF/A-18E Carrier Strike Fighter and iF-22 but I have to try because I heard that their campaign dynamic engine is so good. Of course not before I beat the DID EF 2000 dynamic campaign first!

I even had a ‘retro machine’ pc build for a while to try and get those sims going but they were SO buggy, I couldn’t get anywhere with them. Were you actually able to play the campaigns, and complete missions?
I remember iF-22 being slightly less buggy than iF/A-18E, but not by much.

Back in the day, sure, played a lot of missions in both flight sims. Haven’t been able to get them running in years, but I’ve not tried a recent VM like 86box or anything.
