The Longbow now works everything perfect including joystick.
For a hotas warthog i use this:
joysticktype=4axis
timed=false
autofire=false
swap34=true
buttonwrap=false
and the other change from dosbox default was the fulscreen=true
Finally on the autoexec i inserted the mount of all 3 cds as cdroms.
Thanks for the tips, that thing about the last version of dosbox did the trick, i was using a last but not lastest one.

Well that’s still weird as I use the older 0.74 version (latest one is 0.74-3). Glad you worked it out though.

This was seriously one of my favorite sims! A few years back I installed longbow gold through dosbox and played through all the historical missions, but didn’t get far into the canpaign.
The nostalgia is strong but getting past the no trackir or vr is a little harder now.
I still don’t get tired of those intro videos though!

I loved those old Jane’s games starting with USN Fighters. USMC Fighters, NATO Fighters, ATF, USNF 97 added Vietnam…
TK did a good job making Strike Fighters the spiritual successor to that series.
