Looks like someone on their code team plays DCS: F-14 / F-4E
HAHAHA yes lokks like, i hope they also think, if its possible, to implement a multicrew feature to full simulate F15E, F14, Tornado, F4,…
There are so many improvements, I’m surprised that it isn’t referred to as 4.0. Oh wait, that might be confusing.
Falcon 4.0 BMS 4.40 … I wonder what special goodies that version will be bringing? ![]()
I was just thinking the same thing, like how can this just be a “.38”?!?
Damn, I knew the new terrain will birng up the requirements, looks like I’m sticking with the 4k Terrain tiles. My GPU only has 8GB.
300GB for 8k textures and 16k Terrain tiles, wowza. DCS level reqs… Gotta clean up the disk for this.
The same here, I still have CPU R7 3700X, 32GB DDR 3600 Mhz, X570 chipset, AMD RX 5700XT 8GB VRAM (2019 high-end PC). It should be playable without VR. But the rest of us, almost 50% have potato computers with GPUs such as GTX 1650 Super 4GB, GTX 1080 8GB (that should be OK), GTX 1060 3GB, or GTX 770 4GB with the old CPU from Sandy Bridge or Haswell/Refresh era. So we will keep BMS 4.37 on our SSD.
We still have to wait for a download link a “couple of days”. Hope it’s not two weeks.
Just checked and the downloader still not showing it… hopefully soon!
Download is finally available!
Great news Rapier. Thanks for the signal.
16,5 GB ![]()
Note: BTW it should be playable on GTX 1060, hopefully.
Going to be a while. Right now it’s estimating between 70 and 120 hours
I guess that will speed up as more p2p clients come online. That is if the Internet doesn’t break.
I’m wondering if it will install over 4.37, or create a new instance. Should probably RTFM.
Looks like the download is going to take while
:
ETA is down to 12 hrs now.
Thanks Boltface.
This does feel like a historic moment in flight simulation. And we were here.
BTW, what torrent client are you guys using?
I’m just fooling around. The 1 year, 45 weeks ETA made me laugh. I am so grateful for the excellent work the BMS team is doing.
