I had another go. The ‘new’ AFCS modes might be throwing me off + there was another Moza update, either that or I think a ping of about 800ms might be a problem, but at least this time I managed to land again and not destroy another CH47…

Captured another airfield, hopped in my Ch-47, dropped off a platoon and two bradleys and went back to pickup my MI-24, then cleaned out the airfield and resupplied it.

I am inclined to fly the Phantom later today to work on that SA-2 but I’d need some escort (you can’t request AI escort in the F-4). I could use the F-15E but that’s a bit like clubbing baby seals vs a Guideline battery …

Haha gotya, well we should be able to scramble from that new airport since I got it fully upgraded. It has a proper lot of SAM coverage only 20 clicks from the target area so you can always skedaddle back to there!
Great fun today. Watching @Derbysieger put the Phantom to ePhective use was inspiring. I chose the easy route flying Hinds with @TheAlmightySnark. Three hours felt like 15 minutes. Thanks for the hand-holding!

As I finished up had 3 Su-24’s in bound for Pinarbashi. Decided that wouldn’t do to have all my hardwork undone. Splashed 2, HAWK got the third.
I tried moving that one zone cargo that Incirlik won’t take, but no joy.
Cleared out Hama and captured it. While that was going on Incirlik got bombed back to neutral. Took a C-130 up there and recaptured it, put a CAP up over it to deal with the bombing raids.

I think we should start looking at the Aleppo issue, they keep attacking it, by air and with convoys. Reinforced it yesterday but we might need to solve the problem proper.
The east also has SCUD’s somewhere.

I tried to hop on this afternoon, @smokinhole and @TheAlmightySnark were already on. Shortly after joining DCS froze up froze up on me. I restarted it and when I went to rejoin I couldn’t connect.

I was quite hard at work to clear Jirah of ground targets. When the SAMs fell, it became kinda easy.
AI FAC(A) was talking me onto the target. Some tupolevs got shot down in the background.
Canada!? Betrayal. Fortunately I have I collected a handful of promotions and I can now direct our CAP flights around the map. When I neutralized Jirah, I had our CAP stationed in the vicinity of the place.

I’ve been taking some hints from @jenrick who has given me tips on both the AH-64 and the CH-47..
I’ve become a lot smoother, not using FD and being more careful relying on TRC and point, but the RADALT mode is incredible! It really keeps alt well as you come in and slow down.
A linebacker and Bradley have been placed at that weird sneaky base near Aleppo the MiGs have been using as a divert. It should help with the land attacks and air attacks that bother Aleppo continuously.
I airdrop enough supplies to repair half the base.. but it didn’t work.. I was most definitely in the zone and the crates never sat on the ground for me to move with a helicopter. Maybe 1 chute is not enough for this cargo? Due to my failures.. Papa did fall. But I took it back with a chopper and put better defenses down before I left for the night.
