Bruce kicked off apparently lol I bet he didn’t even care! All the legal people doing it.
If anyone here remembers Chuck Yeager’s Air Combat …give a look at the free Demo for this one!
It’s an absolute BLAST!
I found a PSP for $20 and can’t stop playing it. Send help.
I still have a few games if you want them dude
Where the hell did you find it?!?!
Thanks for the offer, I’m pretty good on my library atm. I got a lot to work through. What do you have, out of curiosity?
A flea market. It came with the beer-coozie-like holder, a REALLY sketch charger (fortunately, I had an official PSP charger at home from when I used to have one) a dust cover, and NFS Underground Rivals.
The charger:
Collection thus far:
Awesome!
If I were you, I’d play lottery more often.
If you’re into retrogaming and collecting, flea markets are where you want to go. I’ve had nothing but good luck there. This was advice I lifted from Pat the NES Punk during a podcast he did. When you own the NES equivalent of the library of Alexandria, you might know a thing a two. This is just my latest pick up.
I also got Gran Turismo 3 and SOCOM Combined Assault for $5 each. There’s a dude that frequents mine that restores disc-based media and sells games for very very fair prices. I also picked up Gran Turismo 2 and NFS4 on PSX from another for free. Sure, these aren’t exactly Panzer Dragoon Saga-level titles, but they’re in great condition and it’s hard to argue against free. He was just trying to offload his table of stuff, so I took 'em.
Flea markets and garage sales are the place to go for retro-gaming pick ups.
Sadly where I live, there’s no such thing as a Flea market.
Well not for that stuff. And not for those prices.
So, yeah. I’m left with emulators, which is cool enough.
Fair enough. If PSP is your thing, it emulation is pretty fantastic with PPSSPP.
In the last few weeks I’ve been trying to finish off some game on my steam list that I’ve never had my monies worth out of. Some are not great. Some are excellent. Some I thought at the time of purchase were awful and I’ve been proven wrong.
I have finally after 20 or so years completed “heretic” and it was pretty hard to get through if I’m honest. First few levels were awesome but it did get a little repetitive halfway through. But it’s done and I enjoyed it. Half life 2 needed episode one and 2 finishing but I couldn’t remember the ending to half life 2 so I’ve now bashed through that again and will be starting the episodes shortly.
Another very surprising one was quake 4. Now I’m a huge HUGE fan of quake and quake 2. But when I bought quake 4 it was a huge let down. The slow movement speed and the macho plot surrounded by badass space marines did not inspire me to finish it. However I last played it in 2012 (according to steam) and decided to give it another stab. I gotta say I’m loving it. Whether it’s my age or something else but it feels awesome. The strogg are genuinely unsettling enemies and the setting is quite interesting and creepy once you get deeper into it. It’s by no means as good as the first 2 games but on it’s own Its actually not half bad. I’m ploughing through it and it’s great fun with some nice twists and turns that are very cool. I’m a bit bummed I didn’t play it before now.
Got a few more on the list to crack on with and maybe now I have different tastes they might be more palatable and enjoyable. Plus I’ve already bought them so it’s very cheap entertainment
So, uh, this is apparently about to be a thing…
Not if you set up your filters correctly on Steam
What’s the matter, Colonel Sandurz? CHICKEN?!
There’s. . . a lot of things on Steam you can find. Many of then will make you wonder how we got to this point as a species.
We still have GOG. GOG IS STILL PURE.
I have so many games in my backlog on Steam, GOG, Uplay, Origin and PS4 I don’t think I have enough years left to get through them all… Yet I still buy them. BUT NO MORE!!! I’ve promised myself that after I’ve played Borderlands 3, Death Stranding and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order thatI’ve just bought I won’t buy anymore!
Oooh is that Cyberpunk 2077 I see on the horizon, and Watch Dogs Legion, and System Shock, and Last of Us Part 2, and…
