Went back and looked at the product page at the Connection and saw this update. Since it is 10 November, one would think that early pre-orders would be shipping any day.
I remember our resistance broke down on the same day… 
The Norwegian retailer, Komplett, still say 17. November.

I’m mulling over the same issues myself at the moment. First thing I need to do it seems is upgrade my power supply (it’s only! 500w). Then a GPU to drive my O+ maybe 50% faster.
I’m loving the reviews of the G2 but it seems that quickly leads to a completely new system for me. Just trying to get the most bang-for-my-buck and stretch things out another year, at least. The O+ looks pretty good still (except maybe at night), esp. if you bump up the SS (thus the better card). Just took some hacks to make it comfortable.
Ah, this cycle of expensive upgrades is wearing thin. I’m hoping the move to Vulkan comes within the next year for DCS. I’m probably grasping for straws though. Hope not.
I’m thinking I will lower the resolution of the G2, if my current system can’t deal with it at full res. That way I get the new lenses, physical IPD adjustment and good sound. And I’m planning to upgrade my system early next year.

Yeah, I thought of that too. I’m with those that keep asking the YT VR peeps, “…how is it in half-res?” for this reason. A recent review in the dark (using Elite Dangerous cuzz it’s always night in space) was good news; in the O+ all the artefacts are annoying. Figure the G2 at 1/2 res is same as the O+ at 1:1, roughly. And who knows, perhaps being newer tech it might actually be smoother.

I take it with a grain of salt since human eye sees diffetently to any camera. But yeah, the difference is pretty apparent!

Of course! But if we take VR Flight Sim Guys word for it, the video shows a god representation of what we can expect. But there’s no substitute for trying it out yourself…

I see my order status at Connection has changed to OPEN and not BACKORDERED now. I see a MFR PART#, but not a unit serial # yet…and my CC has not been charged yet…
