I am convinced that the people in charge of this game have so far not even tried to play it, at least not on XBOX. The Career is simply unplayable. I just tried two hook cargo missions. The first was a MISSION FAILURE! for “Leaving the Parking Area” during that opening video showing your avatar before pre-flight. Crazy! But I accepted my loss of reputation and tried another mission. The pickup was in the middle of the runway. OK. The dropoff was 6300km away! The SAR missions are now buried in steep forests miles from landable LZs. There was a cheat where you could park and walk the distance to the victim. They fixed the cheat! Now, if you walk more than 300 yds or so, you get a mission failure for abandoning your helicopter. So, I’m done with this turd for a bit. It is KSP2 and 3x the price.
The choice of name maybe was a bit premature. Should have picked MSFS 2025, like any other company in the gaming market would have.
Correct. They were somehow committed to a 4 year upgrade cycle and stuck to it. 3rd party devs found out about 2024 at the same time the rest of us did. It was a complete surprise for them. It is amazing what Asobo was able to do in that short period of time. As a purely visual presentation, it is pretty good. It’s nothing like what is advertised in the intro, but still not bad, certainly better than 2020 for MOST users. But as a game it’s 6 months ahead of what should have been its time. And maybe in the meantime at least pretend to do some gameplay beta-testing.
I can confirm that the update fixed the sound stutter problem.
That’s great. But the fix posted above does not fix the problem it addresses. I don’t have that problem and don’t actually understand it. There is a real fix on the forum but it is too convoluted to replay here. Plus, I doubt any of us are sufferers.
Interesting…

They’re just fishing for cheap pilots. Log 500 hours in MSFS, you’re hired!
Could be a smart move to be the first airline kids see on their screen every day though… There’s a lot of head scratching going on in pilot recruitment offices at airlines all over the globe, these days. There are way too few kids who want to fly and the passenger demand continues to grow…
That is until the next recession or if Airbus get their will and start selling a passenger seat on the flight deck…
We are advertising for pilots in our safety demo—an increasingly common sign of the desperation airline recruiters are in.
”…to these exits are marked by lines along the floor. Please don’t hesitate to ask our cabin crew for a pilot job application form. Our Captain was due for retirement two years ago and our First Officer could really need a vacation. Please enjoy your flight.”

I imagine God made a lot of changelogs like this early on.
It isn’t a bug it’s a feature
Have you noticed that it has five ‘digits’?
So do Wombats and Koalas. In fact Koalas are the only other animal known to have fingerprints.
Just goes to prove that Australia is God’s Country
… or early access hell
I can’t get into the PC version of MSFS2024 for few a days now. Loading stuck at 68%. Maybe if I waited long enough…
On the other hand XBOX version works, I mean it loads into the main menu pretty fast. I’ve run the game yesterday first time after the recent patch, weirdly I was introduced with the initial setup (the one you get after running the game for the first time, where you select your controls, realism, customize you character etc). I was afraid that my progress was all gone, but fortunately it wasn’t. So I fired up the career mode, selected a passenger transport mission with ES-30. After releasing the parking brake and applying a small amount of throttle the aircraft basically catapulted backwards and crashed.
My patience with this game is running out…
