Like Iām always unnecessarily harsh towards MicroSoft and Flight Simulator as enittiesā¦ but holy heckā¦
If they really manage all that- they didnāt simply knock it out of the park- but they gave it escape velocity and hit it directly out to mars.
I am still gobsmacked every day by MSFS 2020, even. I canāt believe my humble xbox can draw so much so smoothly. It is incredible what can be accomplished when the people writing the code, do so with discipline (and an unlimited budget).

yeah, everytime i start up MSFS2020, I canāt believe that weāre able to fly in an environment like that. MS only released two service packs for FSX and called it a day. 2020 has been supported for almost 4 years now, with extra FREE content. (for those of us not on gamepass)

This will be the first time in a sim where the hot air balloon is meaningful. The farms and fields are real. The giraffes at least look real. The winds are layered an multi-directional. Yet another way to love aviation in almost all its forms!

Deluxe does not appeal much to me but the Premium Deluxe tier has @BeachAV8R 's PC24, a Saab and 2 big helicopters!

Iām quite hyped for that Gyrocopter after flying one in real life (Xenon 2 RST) - gyrocopters are rarely featured in flight sims (if ever) and Iām wondering how well they will be modelled?

Soā¦theyāre selling us a massive update of MSFS2020 and calling it a totally different product?
The UI, graphics, and gameplay look the same, just more content, effects, and improvements. All the talk about photorealism and raytracing was the same as when MSFS2020 came out.

My daughter just bought FC25 (New FIFA) for about $100. Itās āupdatedā every year with some new players, jerseys and a couple of moves.
A new MSFS, 4 years down the road, as a new title is totally ok with me.
Weāve seen a lot of free updates to MSFS2020 during that time.

This is probably the first time Iāve ever seen a positive comment about Fifaās pay-to-update scheme that squeezes so much money out of so little content

The career mode, terrain rendering improvements and decreased client size are well worth it in my book.
Edit: Also the price for the base version is equivalent to a single DCS module - let that sink inā¦
