If the aircraft are bought in the marketplace, they will be compatible. Bought outside the marketplace, 3rd party dependent. 3rd devs may or may not charge an update fee to update it to 2024 features.
IDK
Almost everything will be in the cloud now. All the scenery modules we previous downloaded will not need to be downloaded separately. If you fly in that area, you will download what’s needed…every time. There is some caching possible, but not clear on what size/area. Probably data will be huge. (slow connections and data caps will not like 2024)
Tempted to get the aviator pack, as it has a lot of AC that I’ve debated getting all in one nice package. Then @groovechampion made an excellent point about time available to fly them all. Add on @saghen’s info that AC bought through the marketplace should transfer over and I’ll probably just stick with the basic.
I might pre-order, but honestly I haven’t been doing too much civilian flying in the last few months. Getting my massive MSFS install off the SSD would be nice, but I might wait for it to have a sale and save a few dollars.
While I am happy to jump on the new MSFS version I am still considering which edition to buy. I was considering the Aviator edition but with this new statement
it looks like I would end up buying a number of content again. Will check for the MSFS 2024 unique aircraft in each edition and then take a decision
if we have to buy a completely new game would both be compatable in multi player otherwise can a msfs2020 player do multi flights with a msfs2024 player ?
