I guess the Premium version demotes you to FO and the AI becomes a bossy Capt?
Be careful what airlines you fly! ![]()
Anyone found the mod for Wright Brothers Field yet? ICAO designator: IGY. Distance from Meigs field: 173 million miles ![]()
In that last pic, the huge airliner is not covering too much the smaller airliner on his right side? The smaller one not have space for a pushback without wing colide with the one in the left.
So spent more time with the Aerosoft CRJ550/700 today and am ending up pretty darn impressed. It isn’t perfect, but it is really nice. Just did a full flight from Innsbruck to Venezia and it was fantastic. Did a full departure (SID) and arrival (STAR) with the arrival dumping me out onto the ILS4R and it was spectacular.
Wow, am I the only one that can’t seem to get a LOC and proper approach to Innsbruck?

Okay, that does it.
We are going to need a big Mudspike MSFS Warbird review.
Spitfire vs Corsair vs Tomahawk.
I can’t be the only one who can’t decide between these.
@PaulRix where can I donate to this cause? The community needs you!
I’m hooked, I have the Corsair and the Spit. I suspect the P-40 will be in my hangar before long.
Same with me…the P40 might turn up in my hangar soon, although it isn’t an airplane that fires me up like the Spitfire. I could say that about the Corsair too, but I have to admit that I have come to really enjoy flying it.
IMHO the MilViz Corsair is currently the best when compared to the Flying Iron Spitfire IX. That is mainly because you have to manage your engine in the Corsair. With the Spitfire you can be at full throttle until your fuel runs out.
Other nice touches with the Corsair include the light refraction on the gunsight glass reflector plate, the wing folding and watching the flaps extend when you shut down the engine as the hydraulic pressure bleeds off. Both aircraft look and sound great both inside and out. The gunsight on the Corsair can be switched on, and for VR users, it is kind of colimated. They did that by simply projecting the gunsight out ahead of the cockpit. If you lean outside the confines of the cockpit you can see it out there ahead of you. It looks great if you keep your head inside though.
Flight model wise, they are both a challenge, especially on the takeoff roll. I would have to spend more time with them both to explore the edges of the envelope to give a more informed assessment but they both feel pretty good if you are just flying around.
So, the Corsair has more detailed systems and some nice extra touches but the price tag reflects that. I enjoy them both, but the Corsair takes first place if I had to choose between them.
Aeroplane Heaven are evidently very close to releasing their Spitfire Mk 1A which looks really nice. If they release it this week then the P40 will have to wait I think.

Interesting, cause iirc FI Spit IX for XP11 has some custom coded engine management.
Btw looking forward to all those custom coded (outside of MSFS) modules. A2A Sims did that for FSX (and they will do the same for MSFS imo) and it was solid business model for them.
