Nice price too!
Bought and installed this… looks beautiful, but it’s the first add-on I had to uninstall… my framerates went from a average of 40+ to -1… a complete slideshow. Just sharing my story, got to have a pretty high system with some of these mesh’s. (is that the proper plural, lol.)
It’s interesting, I’ve tried a couple of meshs so far, including the new freeware one from orbx, and I don’t notice any change at all to my frame rates, even though I was half expecting one.
Has anyone tried to convert the Just Flight Hunter for MSFS?
I was thinking of mil-jet aircraft I own, that would be relatively easy to port over that didnt have many digital instruments. Curious if anyone has already done it.
This is interesting to me. Looking forward to a Twin Otter!
Great updates coming to the Mil-Viz Corsair soon. It’s interesting that they’ve modeled functional guns, even if they can’t interact with the world.
That plane looks a bit like someone took a warbird and just slapped a different cockpit on.
Bf-108 Taifun has entered the chat…
Enhanced Live Traffic. Maybe, haven’t tried it. If you try it let us know how it goes
https://www.flightsim.to/file/17289/enhanced-live-traffic#
Open source and latest here as well:
EDIT: Quick peek in the code shows:
- A standalone C# app, using simconnect to inject things into the sim as it runs.
- It’s using https://www.flightradar24.com/ as its API and gets the nearest 40 aircraft to your location.
- As well as lat/lng/course/speed it will also try to model match, otherwise will default to default A320
- If it recognizes the callsign suffix it’ll match up with a livery on the model, if you have it installed locally.
So basically similar to what the stock does, but with potentially better model tracking and livery - you just need to supply those yourself in your community folder and get the naming right. I think the downside will be the ground handling etc will be weird (these ADB-B trackers are good for the air really) but it’s free so why not…
The only thing that I don’t really like about this is that I kind of have a commitment not to do like we did in FSX and P3d and X-plane, and once again start (possibly) choking my sim with all sorts of outside processes.
Aeroplane Heaven Releases Cessna 140 For Microsoft Flight Simulator
A list of features was also provided by the Aeroplane Heaven which can be viewed below:
- 7 Authentic liveries include polished alloy, gloss paint and well-worn examples.
- 3 versions of the Cessna and if you know your way around configuration files your choice of which version to use per livery.
- ‘PBR Workflow’ texturing inside and out, as used in many of today’s successful computer games
- Accurately modelled in High Fidelity with an enormous amount of authentic detail
- Detailed animations include sprung steerable tailwheel, sprung main U/C legs, brake discs and callipers.
- ‘Hidden’ modern navigation suite fitted to the cockpit panel for IFR navigation. ( totally optional )
- Asobo based pilots. Therefore the pilots you have chosen will fly the plane.
- Authentic stereo sound pack.
The aircraft is now available on the Orbx Store for $21.72.
You can’t get any more classic bush flying than this!
Pretty!
On the subject of mods, does anyone know of one that changes the 3rd person pilot to someone less…millennial?
I’m sure it’s just me. But when I’m flying the Ryan, Stearman, etc, the sight of a kid in a ballcap and skinny jeans just makes my OCD itch.
I mean, how’s he even keeping that hat on?
I’d love to see a nice WWII era pilot that you could use in period aircraft.
A haggard looking, slightly overweight 50ish year old with a wild look in his eye would be a good addition I think. .
You can change it here:
For Gen-Z you can make them homeless, for Boomers you can add them complaining about the Millennials and for Gen-X’s can just be checking newegg for 3090’s.
Don’t forget that distant stare that he/she has from reviewing all their poor life choices.
Although if they’re flying a Stearman, they can’t be doing too poorly for themselves.
