What gets me are a few things.
Effort was put into a decent looking 3D model. Exterior looks nice, but not finished or properly textured.
Cockpit has clickable switches but so many of the basic stuff is inop. And again, untextured.
But the icing on the cake is that the MS Store allows it to be sold on their platform. Its only appealing to a kid with a XBox controller who wants to go fast and probably wont land.
This is where I’m saddened by the PC/Console cross over. Too much is watered down to appeal to the console gamers.

and you noticed the artificial horizon? is priceless!
That is a classic example that the guy allegedly bought the 3d model in a 3d models stores the cheapest ones, make some few effords to get the animations works, and booooom release it. And after i would like to listen the excuse, ohhhhhh the sdk is not yet enough to do better…
Or they purchased the 3D model from elsewhere (or acquired through less than legal means).
EDIT: @stavka beat me to it!
I had to pick this one up because I once had the privilege of flying in a Stearman.
After a brief half hour with it…
The 3D model seems pretty good. Sounds are nice. It isn’t a nightmare to keep relatively straight on takeoff. My main criticism would be that the roll rate seems too high. We are not talking about study level at this price point though. For the money it seems like a nice enough aircraft to fly around in. I think I prefer the Carenado Waco, but I will have some fun with this one.
Dorand AR1 A2 200
From the pics, the textures are beatiful
Here is one to keep an eye on…the Grumman Widgeon by FlySimware.
I picked this one up this evening and it seems to fly nicely. This is the MSFS version of an aircraft they previously did for P3D and is still a work in progress. As such, it is a bit expensive ($30) in it’s current state. Visually, it looks dated and needs to be brought up to the MSFS standards we have become used to. Still, there is a lot to like here and it seems that the developer is pretty active so I am optimistic this will turn into a real gem.
I seem to have lost my ATC. Menu wont open by any key commands. Did an internet search and people have said to check User Experience. I dont see anything that is preventing me. No Co-Pilot assist or things turned off.
Any ideas? It used to work before I swapped to the full Premium-Deluxe install.
I’d like to know how you did it. . ATC is something I never bother with in the sim. It would be great if I could completely switch it off.
Not on purpose Paul. Its a setting someplace in Options/User Experience/Assists. Turn them on apparently. I’m reading to turn them all on, fly. Reset the sim and then go back and turn them to whatever I’m wanting.
I actually like the ATC chatter. Gives life to the environment. Even if it’s not
That’s a pretty one. I’ll keep an eye on that one…
My favorite of the listed features:
- High quality pilots
Airport looks pretty cool and a nice scenic flying area.
If you download this helo, you can replicate the the “Harrison Ford Incident”

Might be good for people who like these sort of airfields. (I have not tried it)
Price isn’t too bad - $55. With PMDG I was curious on how much it would be. Cool.
Me too! $55 seems very reasonable. I was expecting $70+
I’ll make a new topic - this looks a good one and we’re 1119 posts into this one.
EDIT - T’is done - PMDG DC-6 for MSFS
