With every military jet released for FS2020, I lose even more respect and faith in it.
Well, lets face itâŠmilitary jets in MSFS are mainly for tooling around the Mach Loop and having fun. When I came to the realization that 90%+ of my DCS time was doing just that, military types in DCS became much more palatable to me.
Asobo released their Aviat Husky yesterdayâŠ
Itâs a fun little airplane to fly but if you are looking for a stellar STOL aircraft, the Savage Carbon or Grravel require significantly less runway.
Iâm enjoying the floats, and with SU5 we can now properly transition from land to water and vice versa which is great.
Thatâs awesome. Is it glass cockpit or steam gauges?
Well, itâs a bit of a mix of analogue and digitalâŠ
Interestingly the large display gives you ground speed, not airspeed, so it is more of a tablet using GPS data than a primary instrument.
WowâŠthat is beautifulâŠ!
Fokkinâ great!
Unless some terribly bad reviews appear, this is pretty much a no-brainer instant purchase for me.
EDIT: Ok, I purchased this and its nice, but just keep in mind it seems designed specifically to work with photogrammetry active. Without PG, the bridges just hang in the air with no on or off ramps.
Ok, if anyone is curious, I took a quick flight around the city if you want to see how it looks in use, and are curious about framerates.
1440p default ultra settings
Incredible! Someday.
DC Designs F-14. Has anyone here put their hands on it for an unbiased review?
The early video I did see, looked very cartoonish.
I picked up Burbank and Santa Barbara⊠I really should add Van Nuys too but thatâs not on sale yet.
Also picked up Burbank and Santa Barbara, along with Orcas Island. I had Tacoma Narrows in my shopping cart, but realized that Iâd probably just land there once to check it out, but that most of the time when I depart SEATAC that Iâm most likely to heard north.
Then there is install/update creep. Just because we can afford something, doesnât mean that we should own it
Addendum: It occurred to me a few hours after clicking the buy button, that I did so without much thought, as if an Orbx sale elicits a Pavlovian response. I suppose that in the FSX/P3D/XP days, reflecting as if they are quite in the past, that it was much the case. But Orbx in the MSFS era, we shouldnât let them rest on their laurels. Or should we?
Now you tell me!
I share your view on that. Heatblurâs quakity of their Tomcat for DCS spoiled us big time.
