MSFS - Add-ons and Releases thread

gotta love MS Flight

I don’t think anyone is expecting study level from this…but there is a lot more to this hobby than ‘study level’. Increasingly I am coming to the conclusion that the minutiae of ‘study level’ can actually take away from the ‘experience’ of what is after all, supposed to be an enjoyable pastime…

Heads Up!

Gives an visual effect similar to Samscenes payware offering, but for free. Note! Also is a PG-only release, as these structures conflict with non-pg buildings.

Aeroplane Heaven has released their Spitfire Mk1… My first impressions are very good. It’s a gentler beast than the Flying Iron Spitfire Mk IX (as it should be). Really nice sounds and 3D modeling. I did my best to abuse the engine but it didn’t fail…so maybe they need to tweak that a little.

It’s past time for bed, so I’ll fly it some more tomorrow and give it a more thorough ringing out.

Beautiful Spit. I wish A2A would rerelease their stable with engine wear and their detailed systems model.

Same here. Phantom never pushed my buttons like it did with others. Not to say i don’t enjoy the airframe but it’s just not as exciting to me as other planes

Definitely one for @Bearhedge and me:

I’m on the road this week but I will certainly be picking this one up when I get home. I have flown into NZQN a number of times now, and this really looks accurate.

Based on how good their Corsair is, this will be pretty awesome!

I’m really enjoying cruising around the MSFS world with this whirly bird (H145). Looks like we will have a civilian variant in the next update.

I have to say that the H145 is one of my most used aircraft now, especially after getting into NeoFly recently. It also dragged me down the path of trying the GTN750, which I also ended up buying.

That does look great. I’m guessing Aerosoft will time it to realease alongside the Twin Otter. Maybe a good secondary objective for those of us who make it down to Port Stanley would be to hop down to Antarctica while we are down there.
