I’m just gonna stay over here at the stable release and watch things unfold ![]()
Fixes are good though. Put on the latest Nvidia driver and it blue screened during the install. Good times… ![]()
And I can only ever feel sorry when I hear things like that, since these problems happen to me so rarely that I sometimes feel like the last (bewildered) person standing in the middle of a massacre, and wondering why they were (again!) not hit by a single bullet…
Which is to say my installation was running fine with the new drivers.
It seems fine. Rebooted and it seems to have finished the driver install ok. MSFS seems stable, no crashes. Reportedly the FBW A320 doesn’t load with this latest though, but I guess people can opt out until that’s fixed.
For those using the BETA:
FBW A320 is working again after making some changes in panel.cfg. It’s documented well here:

I just opted into the Beta today, mainly because VR was driving me nuts. It seems they have fixed the most pressing issues I was experiencing. The menus are a lot more responsive now. I also found a work around for the problem where you appear inside the head of the pilot (in VR) when you jump from an external view back into the cockpit. One way is to use the drop down menu to deselect the Pilot view, but I also found that the Toggle Co-Pilot view works as well. That is a better solution because you can map it to a controller button which is a lot more convenient. ![]()

One VR oddity in the beta to look out for, and which I think they still need to fix, is that if you have your mouse pointer in VR over a window (like the ATC or the VFR Map etc) then you lose input with your throttle and/or rudder pedals - like the focus was grabbed and no other input works. Led to some pretty exciting landings until I figured out what was going on…
Good to know! ![]()
That’s already annoying enough in 2D.
I usually have some software and/or external windows of MSFS itself running on my second screen, and every time I move my cursor over there I have to be in autopilot with all axes neutral or terrible things happen.
Something else I have noticed with the beta is that taildragger’s used for scenery now sit correctly on the ground… It looks much better.
I’ve noticed this, which is very frustrating if you use ATC. Furthermore, I’ve lost fulltime use of my Virpil throttle in both the Hawk and Goshawk. It appears to work fine in the Hornet, Porter, and Cirrus.

I am just updating MSFS and found the patch to be 104GB. I even had to remove some games to create enough space. Is this everyones experience?
That’s weirdly large.
Isn’t that nearly the size of the whole thing?
Yes it’s happened twice now since release
Backlog of maybe previously never installed world updates?
No they where all installed and are still installed now but needing updates
At least some are. It’s a pita but not as bad as when I had a 2mb connection
