Well done Harry! Screenshots look very atmospheric.
Jumps are known to slow you down - which is why they tried to keep them as low and short as possible (the drivers) unless they were showing off or enjoying themselves (or doing it for media)!
Same thing with downhill skiing
The logic is if you’re not being powered forwards, you are slowing due to drag.
Just a quick reminder that there is less than 24 hours left in Rally Finland. I see only 5 entries that have completed at least 1 stage. We had 10 in Rally Australia.
Had a very busy work week, but should be able to knock these out tonight. Thanks for the heads-up.
Thanks for the heads up, for some reason I thought we had longer. I’ll have a crack at it tomorrow.
thx for hu, will try tonight
Guilty
Plus if you have a look at the two shots from behind, of the car in the air over that big jump and the one just after I have ‘landed’. I came down pretty hard and I think it has definitely damaged the right rear?
Bonus points for choosing the RS though
Of course this has happened many times in real rallies - another reason they try to avoid it.
Indeed - I will use it if we do Group B again.
I remember when Ford were selling off the last of them (for the road), after Group B was banned. I can’t remember the price, but it was well above my wage level. Oh how I wanted one, though!
I also remember them selling Sierra RS Cosworths at £50k - and that was in the '80’s, so the modern equivalent would be a heckuva lot.
Here’s my first minute in the Rocket Ship 200:
The rest of the Rally I spent slowing down enough to not let Nevo win the last place
Group B with a gamepad is hard mode.
I know nothing about this car to be honest. I just found it little more stable than the Lancia checking wiki now
@miRage the only acceptable mode for gamepad is rally cross it seems
Once again made a bit of a hash of that stage… it is much trickier in reverse and those two ‘3 left tightens’ really caught me out… especially the first one right at the beginning
Before:
After:
Oh well, that puts me into 3rd place for this round… for now.
But I had a ball and can’t wait for the next one.
Quick question. Are the stages and conditions random, or does the organiser get to choose?
After the last round, I vote for more wet night stages
Nice. Where did you get that livery?
And well done
In a desperate attempt to not finish in last place, I am now trying to buy a used steering wheel near me…
Just under 3 hours left
EDIT: stage 0.1 complete,
6km, 26:04.829
here are some screenshots
