I have got my moneys worth out of 2K23, but I am definitely waiting for a sale. I believe Chaz when he says it is better, but I’m not convinced that it is 100 bucks better… Or as Dr Nick would say, ‘Just Ninety-nine Ninety-five’.

Yeah 2k25 is definitely a worthy upgrade, but the offered price points are steep. Anything beyond the base edition just gets you cosmetics and VC. I’d recommend waiting for a Steam sale, but who knows when that may happen.

Just had a look. Ouch!
The last time I fired up 2K23 was for the Torrey Pines round, so I was feeling a bit rusty and decided some practice was in order. Better, a lot better, than I expected:
That was with ‘green’ Tee’s and Pro swing, but everything else was set to default.
So, depending on what Chris has cooked up for us with wind, fairways and greens and factor in that I can never get it together when it counts… I reckon the score will be the same, just change the - to a +

Not as good as my practice round, especially after the brainfart on the 13th where I completely misjudged the wind and had to three putt for a double bogey… But I’ll take it

I managed to sneak the 2nd round in with 15 minutes to spare… I honestly thought I had another day?
1 over for the tourney and the card doesn’t reflect how lucky I was for this round. I managed to find the water three times, had to take a drop and got away with a bogey each time.

Looks like I am going to have to sit this one out.
We have had connectivity trouble for the past few days. I think it is due to the cyclone that ripped through South East Queensland and Northern NSW last week. Normally the ground-station has us geolocated Northern NSW but at the moment it is showing as South Australia (as in the State) and latency is off the charts: 1-2 seconds 
Judging by the wait times when I try to contact our ISP support line, it isn’t just me.
This is resulting in failed connection attempts and constant drop outs. It took me three tries to load this page. I managed to connect to the 2K23 servers once but before it finished loading the Sawgrass event it kicked me out.
Sorry to hear that @Harry_Bumcrack - hope you get sorted soon. Don’t cave and subscribe to Starlink.

That is unlikely. Six months ago it was because it wasn’t (for me) value for money. Today - because Elon Musk!

Mudspike Houston Open is open for the next 6 days. Honest course…Round 2 will be slippery (fast greens…fast fairways) and breezy… This tracks with next weeks PGA event there in Houston. Good luck…!

Connectivity still isn’t great but is better and I was able to get to the Mudspike ‘Society’ page earlier.
My connection still isn’t great. That Round took nearly two hours in real time. I got used to a lot of staring at shots like this between holes:
Overall not a bad round, except for the 16th where I found the water and had to take a drop… twice!

I was chasing you until midway through the back-nine… An inexplicable double-bogey (those greens can be fast!)…and then a couple more bogeys and ended up after Round One at +1…so three strokes off your lead. I had one of those moments where my swing cadence got wonky for apparently no reason at all…it was like…I just duck hooked three irons from the fairway all in a row and I have no idea how the yips got into my fingers… LOL… Just like real golf…!

Haven’t touched 2k23 in a month. Went in cold turkey… and it showed. +11 for the tourney! I either had a handful of birdies in a row or went triple bogey more often than not.
The differences in putting between 2k23 and 25 threw me a curveball. The swing stick mechanics are setup different as well.
