Mudspike Golf Club - 2025

You have more faith in my abilities than I do :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Plan is to get round 2 done today… We’ll see how I go

A less than average start, including plonking it into the water on the 4th for a double bogey. But I found myself going into the last three holes with a one shot lead and it was my tourney to lose… Which I nearly did:

So gents. It looks like we have a three way tie for first

I tried to play, perhaps a bit too, conservative because of the wind and fast greens… and it shows. I was all over the place, especially my putting which varied from this:

TPC Craig Ranch is posted up. Looks like a fun course. Starts tight and with some troubles…but then opens up into these massive fairways. Should be able to bomb a lot and maybe see some pretty good scores. Day two is breezy. Sorry…

Jeez, if day 1 was the calm day I’m scared. 13 MPH full value wind is the light stuff?!

Went into the rough and almost the bunker right off the first tee. So needless to say that set the tone. Did a lot of 2 and 3 putting for par, actually surprised I managed to hold the bogeys off as well as I did.

Most of my approaches ended up looking like this:

What you can’t see in a still, is that the green is racing off to the left. So fairly pleased I only bogey’d a few with putts this long to deal with.

My first round started bogey / bogey…and I was really feeling terrible about it… Then something clicked and I started finally making some shots. I think I didn’t hit the first three fairways though. The later holes open up a bit. The greens on the ā€œdefaultā€ setting (I never change the Round 1 settings) must have been firm greens and fairways because I was having trouble holding the greens. Eventually I just went down a club and accounted for the ball running on the green. Managed two eagles somehow in that first round…

Second round posted…similar to the first round…probably slightly more consistent and happy with it given the winds. Greens are firm…so definitely rolling the ball up sometimes. I just randomly picked a wind direction and it seems to favor the long par 5s…so should be some chances for eagles and birdies.

I’m wondering if I’m playing the same course! Still had 15+ MPH winds with the majority of them being full value (ie L/R crossing). I was consistent with the boggies at least. Again a whole lot of 2-3 putts just to salvage par. My approach game was definitely off this round too.

Finally the flight sim/golf cross over we’ve all been waiting for!

A plane crash landed at the iconic Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles on Friday.

Footage shows the moment the small aircraft attempted to land on a fairway at the course, located in the Pacific Palisades…

The terrifying video shows the plane bounce on the ground, hurtle through the course at high speed before finally coming to a stop next to a tee box.

According to CBS, first responders rushed to scene after it touched down around 1pm local time.

The plane had three people on board and was diverted from Santa Monica Airport.

The Los Angeles Department said no one was injured in the landing and the cause is not yet known.

If it is golf crossover I would’ve ended up in the woods or the pond… :joy:

Not gonna lie, I’m tempted to see how well the course is modeled in MSFS, try some emergency landings.

I mean…you’re a good friend and all…but I’d give up looking for their lost ball after a max of two days…

This weekend’s PGA tour event is posted. Wissahickon Course - Philadelphia, PA…

To make it interesting…a 'nor-easter on the first day followed by default conditions the second day.

  • Caution - this is a user made course…and there appears to be some carnival action green slope on number 15. I’d use extreme caution getting onto that green and make sure you hit near the pin. For…reasons…you’ll see…
