Bradley is your friend when you first start.
Fast, fast and TOW.
Its borderline unfair how good it is

i just tried that Silver bullet mission … well yes …that was somewhat hectic, feels like they threw everything at me… managed to beat the attack back, my wingman was a mobility kill and I took a non pen hit to the front of the turret… and as you can see in the first screen it was a knife fight at the end
I just had another couple runs. The one below Silver bullet. I was two M1s coming to the rescue of a couple M60s. First time both my tanks got their tracks blown off, and seethed impotently at the retreating russians who proceeded to beat up the M60s. Well fork.
I ran it again, this time not going forward until contact, but hooking right and then left. Found a couple burnt out wrecks and… A bunch of russians sitting fat and lazy, probably uncorking the vodka to celebrate the murder of those M60s. Big gun went bam bam. They all died. Neither of my tanks so much as gotten a scratch on 'em.
The game proved to be absolutely rivetting to my boy (9). The debriefing screens horrified him. Seeing a gunner take a sabot round through the head, abstract blue shape notwithstanding, drove the horror of war home to him. Good. These games depict serious bussiness. War is not fun and games.
I am warming up to this game. M1TP3 it isn’t. Yet. It does have the potential to be. I will need smarter teammates and a little more command and control over the situation. Calling in support would be cool too. Briefing and debriefing screens. The shot analysis is a stroke of genius. Really cool.
I love the voicework and the way the OpFor tanks cook off. F yea!
when we get MP co-op this game will shine …also does anyone know if there will be a mission editor
Edit … just asked over on the GHPC discord and there will be a mission editor at some point…
Heck, they horrified me! It made a big impression when I first played, and I realized how much I definitely did not want to be in a tank during a war.
The only thing that might be worse would be not being in a tank during a war…
Not being in a tank while everyone else is.
Yes and no! as we used to say to the grunts - ‘when was the last time a baggy green shirt stopped a bullet’ but when you think about it, the majority of modern weapon systems (that aren’t small arms) are designed to take out armoured vehicles.
We were under no illusions that if we had to face a peer or near peer enemy, most of us would not be coming home.
I predict a GHPC fight night in our future…
Its gonna be so cool. I must have my mic on PTT because i get LOUD and overexcited when i play.
I made poor obi jump the other day when i shouted “ON” unexpectedly.
What does everyone think of the new flares. They really level the playing field for the reds. But i cant help thinking they are a bit too bright.
Any thoughts?
Haven’t really given it a lot of thought - maybe a little bright, But 155mm illum rounds will turn an area the size of a couple of football pitches into ‘daylight’
Even these little hand held jobbies lit up a sizable area:
That I can only answer with a heartfelt thank you for your service.
Thanks, but back then 1st Armd Regt soldiers were known as Koala Bears, as in ‘not to be exported or shot at’
In fact the last time Australia used tanks in combat was Vietnam and Centurians. There was a rumour floating around in 1990 that we were going to be deployed as part of the Brit Armoured Brigade in Desert Storm? Although we had received briefings about Iraqi Armour (e.g. APDS would not penetrate T-72 over its frontal arc, but the yanks would provide APFSDS if we deployed) it was just as likely to be ‘wishful’ thinking on behalf of the ‘crusty’ old SNCOs who just missed out on Vietnam and with retirement pending wanted M&M’s.
just gave that mission a run through … didnt manage to save the m60’s but stopped the attack … what did give me a moment of worry was the russian plane zoomed overhead, I am so used to being in either the aircraft or helecopter (normaly my hind ) that when you are on the ground and being that target it gives a bit of a different perspective … now where is that large copse of trees
The first time that happened to me i physically winced
They mention expansions … full theatre’s with lots of content
