Ok, this is an interesting point and I agree wholeheartedly.
I feel like I could develop it further but today I’m burned out. Work this week is being a massive drag.

Oh, it’s all garbage, I love it! So many gloriously out dated tanks!
But I now get to use 105mm APDS in a period correct tank.
Even if I don’t have a Leopard… Yet?
We are set to get Leos. A Leo 1 and Leo 2, so soon!(tm.)
Wow! This is a great update! Love the entrenched positions.
We need a leo.
OMFG if only it had MultiPlayer…
That will be the cherry on top. But for now I am quite happy that, like an annual subscription to the ‘jelly of the month’ it is the gift that keeps on giving
There are very few things in gaming that gets my adrenaline rushing like ghpc. I can only play in short bursts because it really gets to me.
MP and an Arma-like editor would make this the GOAT tank sim.
We’re getting co-op, I am so stoked for that. I though I also heard mention of a mission editor, as well.
The roadmap for this interested.
In all honesty, i think it already is. It may not have the systems depth of the other one, but the way it plays is so much deeper and less “robotic” as much as i enjoy steel beasts, i also flipping hate it.
That, and (in the absence of co-op) so much easier to control a tank single handedly than SB.
But for me it is the way it portrays battle… almost visceral and like you, really gets my adrenalin pumping.
One of the biggest selling points for me is the voice acting in battle. How the stress makes voices into screams.
I will buy it almost primarily only for that.
It just makes me feel like reading Red Storm Rising again.
About voice acting, i remember the multiple Janes flight sims. They gave much immersive and improves much the tense and action in a dogfight.
For reasons I can’t fathom, Western-developed flight sims seem to have access to better voice acting than Eastern-developed ones.
Maybe when auditioning them the fact that’s it not their native language means they don’t get the nuances as well and hire imperfect matches?
Only thing funnier than Arma/OFP automated voices being super robotic was Il-2 46 and the “This is Red 2 (pause) ARRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!! (pause) over.”
So the last few updates have made this game turn my gaming laptop into a cooking appliance. I’ve turned settings down and such but it doesn’t seem to make much difference, it’s pretty poor performing. Has anyone else noticed degraded performance (low framerate, high CPU/GPU utilization) lately?
I can’t say that I had noticed, but I just took it for a spin with most settings maxxed out (32GB system RAM, Ryzen 7 3700X and 3060 with 12GB VRAM @ 1080P). Just a quick 'blast ’ around Grafenwoehr, not an actual mission…
It gets the CPU and GPU fans spinning but not screaming and temps, FPS, etc are all OK at my end.
My laptop gets hot as hell but it runs ok
