Yes… there may have been some panic in the turret of my bradley…
Awesome cant wait to sit and watch this. Love this team
In a great bit of timing
My tank arrived. Not allowed to play with it till Christmas though.
Got the upgraded version with metal tracks, gearboxes, turret ring and dribe wheels
I’m itching to play with my challenger 2.
My son is vibrating with excitement as well as his is inbound as well
So cool. And good luck not playing with it until christmas, lol
I had a biplane, perhaps a Stearman. Was fun propping that thing
that looks damn cool …
Cheers for that. Amazing effort for such a small team.
I have to admit I did fast forward through a fair chunk of that and probably spent more time browsing Maker Steve’s ebay site - Have sent him a message to confirm if he does post to Australia. The M829AI is tempting, but for nostalgia purposes a M392A2 would be neat. I have a ‘once fired’ 105mm brass case - unfortunately it is at my parents house and Mum is currently using it as a vase for a dried flower arrangement.
But, even if I don’t ‘recover’ the case, that M392A2 would sit quite nicely alongside my ‘paperweight’
For a bit of context. This is the paperweight:
Very cool. What brand?
Might be a bit late for me to try and sneak one into the Xmas stocking… but you never know? I reckon I could have hours of fun chasing the chooks around the back yard and that ‘BB gun’ would be just the thing to sort out our Rooster (aka The Velociraptor) - evil frigging bird that he is.
Its heng long. They seemed to be very well reviewed. Its in 1/16th scale.
I have been sitting and waiting to order one for over a year now. I really wanted the Leopard 2a6 but that for some reason was £40 more expensive despite being functionally the same and I couldn’t afford to get that and the smaller 1/24th abrams so my boy could play too.
I imagine it would be a while but i fancy getting the Leopard and the T90 and mounting them on the wall in my office
The Tamiya ones are twice the price and dont review as well as heng long.
Just had a look, Leo 2a6 is out of stock at all the .au hobby stores but I could get one from overseas (eBay).
Bit pricy for me at the moment though, about $350 dollaridoos for the ‘basic’ kit, add another $150 for metal tracks, ‘transmission’ gears, drive sprokets and wheels.
And… Airsoft. I would have to look into that because Airsoft guns are banned in NSW (and just about everywhere in Au) and I would hate for for it to be seized by Customs/Border Security.
It seems to be the hardest to get hold of over here as well. Although the T90 is quite rare also.
I was told that the paint is random on the Challenger 2 either desert or euro green and appears to be the same all over. I kinda wanted the green one but desert looks pretty good in the flesh. Once i put all the ancillaries on it at Christmas it will look amazing
Didn’t show up in any of the Aussies stores, besides I would feel ‘dirty’ if I didn’t get a Leopard
Definitely keeping an eye on them though and it is currently the front runner for my next birthday
What’s the deal with Gelsoft in NSW? I know you can’t get the blasters, but did they classify the orbies as ammunition down there?
I know ihobby.com.au used to stock the Heng Long tanks (gelsoft version rather than airsoft) - but please do check your local laws as I’ve heard bad stories about some of the suppliers shipping without actually taking responsibility about the laws in the state they’re shipping to…
I’ve never seen these as an option over here in the UK and ive done quite a bit of research. I would much rather of done that as although still bad, orbeez are bio degradable over time
Gelsoft (Gel Blasters) and Airsoft… They are both banned/prohibited items in NSW. It might only apply to ‘firearms’ because they are too ‘realistic’ and might upset people who need to get a clue… Don’t get me started on Australian gun law
But it is better to be safe than sorry, which is why I will be purchasing not only from a .com.au website but one that actually ships from within Australia.
