NVIDIA RTX 3000 series

@Freak yeah I have. I’m desperately trying to hang on to my system as long as I can. Time flies; 3 years ago I spent a LOT of $ on a system that I hoped would last…er…3+ years.

Good news (see what I did) is that same $2500+ will get me a system that is somewhat faster - at running a single piece of software. And dollar-per-hour spent it was a bargain, right. Yes, it was…[sound of wallet creaking open]…

Really pleased you got one mate. Looking forward to your thoughts on this build as its similar to what I’m looking at building once the pennies have been earned.

Metro Exodus looks quite good if you’re into those types of games.

I thought the 3090s were shipping with extra bracket support to help with that sagging… Guess not.

Wow thats really noticeable in the picture. That can’t be good for the slot!

I wonder if you could get a 3d printed little man holding it up made lol that would be hilarious. But in all seriousness I would be worried to death about that with such an expensive build.
Its looking good though. Are you happy with it?

LOL! Some nice red lingerie would be a little sexier no?

Yes, there are three Ray Tracing graphics options in CoD:BO:CW. I have them all set to Ultra (running 4K). Framerates never go under 60 (vsync). I guess I’ve seen some reflections on wet cement or whatever. I’ve never really thought about ray tracing as an important part of my gaming LOL! I think I need to check out some more demos myself … maybe Battlefield V … I heard it has good ray tracing.

When it comes to card sag, I think my 1080ti sagged more than my 3080! There’s still some sag though. Here’s my 3080 (sorry for the glass reflections) …

I guess I don’t have any more of those pesky drive bays though. Maybe those wires coming off your drive bays are weighing your card down.

This is an interesting review on the hp g2 with a 3090. It is worrying what he says about DCS

Another fix for your sag, I think it will help a lot.

Yeah, not good. Not terribly surprising though, to me. The DCS bit was so short though. Want to see someone that, maybe, has more experience with DCS try that combo out…I volunteer!

Not too shabby. Still, I’ve lost quite a bit of enthusiasm about possibly upgrading from my 2080ti, especially since I am only at 2K

Same boat. I’ve enjoyed near two years of my 2080ti…money well spent when amortized over that period. I’m probably gonna stick it out for another couple years. (Oh…who am I kidding…the urge will bite me at some point…)
