Oh..hello there...(Harrier first impressions..)

Well, see, that’s just lack of imagination. In my world, we performed an airborne drop into Crimea, seized the port, and re-flagged the Kuz as a NATO asset. World War 2 and a half or something…

If we still had the Crimean peninsula on the map, this could make an awesome campaign scenario…

Short video (not a whole lot of effort put into this) of a quick take-off, zoom climb, minimum radius turn, then another where I transition (VIFF) to a vertical landing…

Very nice!

Oooooh…I’m telling ED and Raz you said that!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

LOL…well, what I meant was that I didn’t have a lot of time to make it really flash, add graphics, intro, outro, and really refine the flying… If you want though, you can always use one of those You Tube combo things to watch it and play some cool music together.

Last night I spent about 30 minutes trying to drop LGBs on practice targets (without reading the manual) and could not crack the code on what I was doing wrong. My bombs would drop, and I thought I was firing the laser correctly, but I missed on all my bombs…I gotta break out the manual this morning.

At least once right…! “Caution: No prop reverse in-flight”…sounds like a challenge, not a warning amiright?

What sort of outside-of-the-game post processing are you applying to the pictures?
My 2.0 looks nothing like that…

The only thing I do is crop them and add the slight vignette. Everything else is as they appear. I’m running a Pre Release build of 2.2.x that was provided with the Harrier module…so it is probably different. And you’ll notice earlier in the thread the screens have a different look to them - my last few batches of screens I switched my options to deferred shaders ON, which changed the look of the sim significantly. Some might not like the brilliance of the deferred shaders setting…I’m a bit on the fence about it, but it really does look stunning. I might need to bump my gamma down slightly though because it does feel a bit bright in the cockpit.

He could you, but he’d have to kill you  I bet that it’s that BeachFilter in Light Room.

For reference, here is the un-altered (non cropped, non-vignette) version of the last screen:

Siiigh, maybe it’s the Harrier effect…

Thanks anyways.

That’s scary how good it looks. I think that eye candy really helps with suspension of disbelief, or whatever the current phrase is. If you can have a sim that is a/c systems rich and looks great, then why not?

She is stunning…

For reference, this post was the one where I switched Deferred Shading ON…all prior to that are with Deferred Shading OFF and HDR ON… Looking back, you can see the earlier screens have a bit more flattish look with regards to lighting. Arguably more realistic perhaps…but I do like the look of the shading on…

This one looks like a painting you’d see hanging in an FBO or something…LOL…
