Oh ya, for me the install process looked bonkers … I had the progress window and then these other little windows kept popping up and disappearing faster than I could actually read them. It looked like an endless loop and I was about to abort but the progress bar kept going up so I just let it do it’s thing.
Thanks Elby. I appreciate your help and glad that I stuck with it, because the whole environment this game creates is pretty amazing. I get really excited sitting in the garage in VR, looking around and all of the mechanics doing their thing, and then when you get waved out, you really feel like you are part of a team.
That’s what I was thinking … it’s not a high fidelity F1 driving simulator but it is a good F1 ecosystem simulator. Great way to have some fun learning all the tracks.
We’ve gone way off tangent on this thread … let’s see some screenshots and videos!
I liked it so much and went and got the track DLCs (minus the Slasher one), which are more real world tracks. It’s so much fun hotlapping. I’m enjoying it more than the Milestone MXGP series. Already have 3 hours into it.
The multiplayer is pretty much dead, so you should really want this as a hotlap game or running races with AI. I’ve only run a couple of races with the AI and I’ve yet to strike the right balance for my skill, so I don’t really know how good the AI are. The game doesn’t have a sliding scale, unfortunately, so it’s like easy, beginner, medium, etc.
For $10US base game, plus $~10 for all the DLC track packs that I got, I think I’ll get my money’s worth out of it.
Looks good! I literally just sat down to pick up All Out (great deal!) but I’m also noticing Legends which just got released on June 28th. I think the guy in the video said Legends was worse so I’m scratching my chin. Go with a four year old product or a current product?
I’m hoping one or all of these titles will work with the gyro sensor in my PS5 DualSense controller.
EDIT: According to the reviewers, Legends is a turd LOL! Going with All Out which the video reviewer I watched said the bikes handle 50 times better when comparing the two … oh ya, it’s that Cheeks video you posted.
Rhino has it too, so we could get some racing in if you rejoin discord.and try the game out, but consider the addon tracks, minus the slash ones. Really adds to the game
Yesterday, RSS released their new version of the Formula Hybrid 2022 (S), held up by team members living in Ukraine and being physically affected. Had to buy it for that reason alone, but it’s a lot of car for 3.58 Euros regardless. I’m surprised that they didn’t just give it a pass under the circumstances.
There are no custom skins available, but the community will surly be turning those out shortly. Included are actually two cars, one with slightly more downforce and consequently more grip, and the S model configured with a different aero package for faster circuits. The brief included manual states that the infamous 2022 porpoising can be induced by lowering the ride height.
They cars are extremely high quality and drive similar to the VRC offering, perhaps a little easier. I setup a quick race weekend, with 20 laps at Red Bull Ring, which is next of the F1 calendar. I qualified P8 and finished P6. My reflexes not being what they used to be, AI skill was set to 90% +/- 5% and 50% aggression. These are beautiful cars that are really fun to drive.
I am hesitant to post this since it is not really a sim but a game…
My son is bad influence on me. Or was it vice versa? Anyway. I bought Forza Horizon 4 (part 5 is too expensive and I like the scenery in part 4 better anyway). The kids dig the game, too.
This is my current favorite car, the rally version of the 2007 Subaru Impreza:
I absolutely LOVED FH4. Me and my boy played it to death. FH5 just didnt do it for me. I think it was the British setting tbh. Loved it.
My favourite cars were my 900HP el camino (paint matched to look exactly like “my name is Earls”)
My absolutely sublime skyline collection
My S15
My 300zx twin turbo
I love 90’s nissans.
The thread name is a misnomer. This should be all things racing game/sim related, primarily focused on screenshots, but not necessarily limited to it.
I’ve been playing Forza Horizon 5 on the xbox game pass. Pretty cool stuff. Last year when i had a xbox gamepass trial sub, I played FH4. I love that game too. Nice change of seasons.
It is great to find, collect, and tune cars in the game, and the races are wacky but fun.
I have never played a game like this so far so this is fresh for me.
I already got the A-Team van, a VW Beetle, an old VW van, a BMW Isetta, a Volvo 850 and a 1970s Land Rover Discovery. Next up: Get a Mercury 49 and the newest Honda Civic Type R.
You’re right. I have about 3 hrs into it, but haven’t played in 3 weeks. So many games keep coming out on gamepass. Plus I have my regular non-game pass games I keep up with.
