RAZBAM F-15E

Testing the BVR capabilities of the F-15E. If you react to the AMRAAM when it goes active it’s almost always too late. Head-on against big fighters like the Su-27 you can reliably get 45-47 nautical mile hits using TWSH and I even managed to get some kills at over 50NM but it’s unreliable, for smaller fighters like the MiG-29 and MiG-21 it’s ~35NM, although the MiG-21 AI can do some bonkers maneuvers to dodge AMRAAMs sometimes and often reacts much earlier than Su-27 and MiG-29 for some reason (before the AMRAAM goes active even). It’s the only AI opponend that consistently reacts very quickly to missiles which is really weird.

Here’s a ~47 nautical mile TWSH shot against two Su-27:

This will be interesting. Not sure how fast it will wear of but I’m looking forward to do some low level canyon runs. At night. In the fog.

I have a deep strike mission in the works. 700 nautical miles at low level, 1500 nautical miles total, two aerial refuellings, at night.

@Stormy801 now I know you’re new here, so this is just a friendly reminder. If you mention the F-111 in anyway you HAVE to tag @Bogusheadbox . It is the law of MudSpike.

We still be here enjoying the Mudhen, et al. While far from an identical replacement, @Harry_Bumcrack has been a refreshingly entertaining stand-in during your absence. All the best.

I do like GR’s tutorials because they are normally short and get me in the ballpark of knowing it.

They normally come in handy when i come back to a jet after while.

I have Notso’s qued up for when i get time as well.
