Sim Racing/Driving Discussion and News

C’mon, guys. I’m surprised somebody didn’t post this before me.

Looks pretty good, to be honest. I hope there will be support for TrackIR and VR.

Looks really nice.

I am cautious because it is EA. But it is by the guys that made Dirt Rally and it does look kinda promising.

I’m slacking cos I can’t drive on the PC for a while - only with a gamepad and that sux most of the time.

Thanks to the fantastic staff at Mudspike, we now have a dedicated racing sim category. So please branch out the various racing title discussions into separate topics as needed.

Unreal engine…5? They didn’t specify but it looks pretty good if it’s still 4.

Is anyone still using this or is it no longer useful?

I just use the in-game adjustments from the pop-out menu on the right side with VR and they work fine.

Ok ta - I ask because I’ve had issues using AC in VR as I’m sure I posted earlier in the year, since when I’ve barely used it, and then only in 2D and was wondering if this may help me. Guess there’s only one way to find out, though I know that isn’t exactly what it’s there for.

Yeah, VR is kludgy in AC. It was added long after official game release as an experimental feature. For me it helped once I switched over to Content Manager as a GUI replacement, but that’s not necessary. I remember that sometimes it launches you in VR, but way above the cockpit without having an easy way to get back in the car. Knowing the key commends to recenter VR before launch is really helpful.

Ooohh, nice! My son loves that game.

I was not interested in the game until I saw a recent demo of the trophy truck and buggy shredding across a desert-like area. WoW! It has caught my interest. Unfortunately, I’m knee-deep in Starfield and rediscovering some of the aircraft in DCS. However, I do intend to get it at some point in time.
