Just saw this. not sure if you ended up buying GT Legends. I haven’t played it in years, but “back in the day” it was a masterpiece. SimBin put out some great racing titles. GTR and GTR 2 were their crowning achievements and GTL provided the nostalgic community with great classic race cars. The phyics like body rolling through turns and weight transfer under acceleration and braking stood out in GTL. For $8 USD, I’d recommend it.
Rallycross coming to AMS2 1.5 via the Adrenaline Pack DLC. Really looking forward to trying this.
Noice! 1.5 is gonna be a great update.
- Overhauled physics and tire model
- Adrenaline DLC Rallycross (this alone is huge, will attract a new audience)
- New prototype to compliment the Sigma P1
- AI enhancements
- multiplayer net code improvements
- transparent HALO pillar (iRacing has this, great feature)
- Le Mans!!
- Endurance racing is the next frontier we are looking to explore with AMS2, as along with the track and some dedicated endurance features users may expect a very exciting list of new cars to come to the sim, including some 2023 LMDh Hypecars & LMPs along with a fresh batch of 2023 GT3 cars.in anticipation for next year´s event.
- On the historical front, plans are just as much if not more exciting - AMS2 already features several Group C cars from the late eighties and GT1s from the late 90s, and we plan to complement AMS2´s Endurance timeline with several prototypes and GT cars ranging from the early 70s to the mid-00s.
- AMS 2 Paddock Club. A subscription like model. iRacing-esque. Forza recently they are going this route. This appears to be the reality for many games.
Read through the post i got the impression its more of an early acess to updates them anything else.
Season passes are gone but DLC will still be released.
I won’t sign up to any subscription based games of any kind. If they all go that way I have an excellent back-catalogue of stuff
I’m with you on that Johnny. DLC is enough for a long term commitment.
Yeah I could’ve chosen better words. It isn’t a traditional monthly/yearly subscritpion. Reiza simply wants to cut out the Steam middle man and control their content schedule which is a good thing. I do think this “could” lead to a subscription like model, but time will tell. Maybe AMS 3?
I understand single player focused racers don’t see a benefit in a “subscription” like iRacing which is multiplayer focused. iRacing costs pay for, not only product development, but 24/7 server ops and maintenance. Everyone will enjoy their own cup of tea.
AMS 2 plus the 2020-2022 season pass bundle gets you all of it.
Currently its $81 USD. I paid $100 USD for it last month.
So not a bad deal to be honest.
@Johnny DCS and MSFS are no different. like Weaponz248 says, just pick up the season pass and u get it all (at the steam discount).
I disagree - I did make a long and detailed argument case, but let’s just leave it at that instead.
Not taking sides, just relaying my experience. I’ve bought every bit of DLC for AMS2 as soon as it was available. In that way it was rather insidious in that it did hurt so badly at the time. But if I had waited until they released their yearly bundles, I would have saved a bit of money and confusion. It should be said that it is currently more difficult to mod in general, but perhaps that will prevent it from becoming bloated as MSFS and DCS installs become.
No Content Manager available like AC, but I’ve read that there is work to make AMS2 more accessible to mod developers. Currently, a really fantastic freeware IndyCar mod (payware quality of all the 2023 teams and cars) requires a file download and two text file edits with every update to AMS2. Custom skin packs are relatively easy to install.

Thank you… Those '88 GP tracks are a must
Anyone follow the upcoming F1 movie that Brad Pitt is in? Not much is known, yet, but here is little teaser with Martin Brundle. Fyi, Joseph Kosinki is the director. (Top Gun Maverick director) so we will see much of that cinematic style.
There was some filming at Silverstone over the weekend.
Not confirmed (yet?). There is much hype and rumor that a Days of Thunder sequel is in the works. With Tom finished filming his recent Mission Impossible films and recent visits to F1 races, there is much speculation he will be returning to the track in some fashion.
With his motorized zimmerframe?
I read a couple of articles yesterday.
Very thin on details, apparently the movie title is Apex and revolves around a driver who has been brought out of retirement to drive for the Apex F1 Team.
so it really is another Top Gun
Looks pretty good for 59. Still, F1 requires such reflexes and precision, that even Hollywood will have a hard time convincing me that he would be competitive. Alonzo is a rare exception, but he is almost 20 years younger. Trying to keep an open mind.
