So, Who's Got COVID?

There are lines you just don’t cross…!

F’r cryin’ out loud, Chris. I step away for a little while and you practically cough up a lung.

Kidding aside, prayers for a swift and full recovery. I’ll send you some Joe T’s salsa and Julio’s tortilla chips. That’ll restore anyone’s lung capacity. Or sear the inside of their lungs.

All the best to you both for a speedy recovery.

I used to have asthma as a child and hate breathing illnesses. Anything that goes chest bound brings my asthma back terribly and I wheeze like worn out bagpipes.

No shot or plan for it yet, it’s down to individual health authorities and mine is at 65-69.

Pleurisy, that’s a persistent dry cough right? Sounds awful.

Keep an eye on whether this promotes a cough that won’t go, as you may need a steroid inhaler to allow the lungs to recover.

Don’t pin a photo of your wife (or girlfriend…or both) on your instrument panel… Surefire disaster if you do that…

It worked for Mario Cipollini!

Mario Cipolini’s girlfriend was Garth from Wayne’s World?!

Ha! Pamala Sue Anderson was his idol. The cycling press reported that his wife conceded the behavior if it powered him to more sprint wins. Cippo was Cippo.

Me and my wife both got covid, both of us ende up in the hospital. I was brought there in a trauma helicopter and my was transported to the hospital twice by ambulance. We survived, my wife still needs oxygen and the road to recovery is long. But we were the lucky ones. So many others are not so fortunate.
Our advice take it serious.

Sadly a lot of people still think it is something harmless. :frowning:

Yes unfortuately until they or their family gets it.
It is the unpredictability that is so dangerous. The one hardly notices it the other one dies. And it not just tho old we are both 50 and healthy. But it was close. Stay safe🙏

So very glad you and your wife are on road to recovery. Thank you for the statement about “taking it serious.”

I’m glad to see people here taking it seriously. My dad got it in Novemeber or December. It roughed him up a little but he was fine after.

I’ve been staying in and avoiding Corona like the plague (heh) because it would wreck my sh** with my autoimmune liver condition. I’m having to fight tooth-and-nail with my university to allow me to continue online classes and get out of any other in-person duties until I can get vaccinated, which feels so far away. The stereotypical Japanese proverb of “the nail that sticks out gets hammered down” is keeping people from understanding the gravity of the situation, or how it benefits the university as much as it benefits me.

May both of you soon get back to the best of your health! Take care.

I actually got the word from my hospital that I can now make my first appointment for the vaccine. I couldn’t believe it but there is one caveat for me; I cannot get it until after April 8th because I just got my second “Shingles” shot vaccination and I have to wait three weeks until I can proceed with the Covid-19 vaccine.

While in my doctor’s office getting the “Shingles” second shot, they said “if you think your going to get called soon, hold off because you can wait another few months for the Shingles second.” I said no, give me the shot now, I probably wont’ be called until May or June. Two days later, they informed me I was next on the list.

So close yet so far.
