He would’ve been at MT.Home then. Exact dates are fuzzy but '04-05 timeframe is when I visited him there. He was penalized 
for his time by being a wing commander - not the F-15 wing…gosh, I forget the nomenclature now
ATC fell within his wing hierarchy (why I got access to the RAPCON)…but they still let him fly the Eagle (he’d smack me for that ). He hooked me up with the Viper guys and I got to fly the Viper sim (old story here).

I liked it- Cheesy but glorious. Loved the hint to the Dynamic Campaign and anyways watching my beloved Eurofighter fly is always precious.

Watched it again…The F15C made me forget about the brief F117 appearance, If we can get a F-35…maybe a F-117???
Also C-130 with a MOAB??? Yes please!
Eurofighter is a day one buy along with the C-130, the Mig-29 and of course the F-15.

I wonder how long before someone scripts a thingy that lets you ‘dock’ with the Herc; open ramp; stick your nose in there; etc.

I kinda want the Fulton STARS (“Skyhook”) … I know it’s not realistic, but being shot down and then rescued by a Herc would be cool 
Heck, the ability for my pilot to get in a Helo would be nice! Probably not possible with the game engine as it is… despawning and joining multicrew is probably close enough

Dang, that brought back a memory…was in the Hurlburt control tower circa 1986 as a liaison to the C-130 SOG when this subject came up (how I don’t recall).
I think it was their SOF turns to me and asks, 'hey, you wanna give it go, we can hook you up [in the range to the North]?". I took it as a tongue-in-cheek thing, gave a sideways look, with a nervous chuckle, “…ha, ha, ha…”. Stil.l think he was joking as I’m sure you needed some kind of a qual for that.
Jumping out of a plane didn’t bother me but something about that just said, ‘nope’. Should’ve said yes. Maybe.

I have concerns about the F-35, concerns too much for BigNewy, apparently.
So, given the aircraft’s capabilities, we REALLY need a lot more in DCS in terms of RCS and EW modeling. We’ve been told we need hard proof for certain things, but apparently ‘open source’ data is enough for them to make an F-35? A LOT more.
I have concerns on what this means for DCS as a whole. I do not want this to be detrimental to DCS, but it really seems like it could be. They’ve outright opened Pandora’s box with this.

Same. Inching their way towards War Thunder has been my observation. Has to be more money in it (just a guess). Which I completely understand - who wouldn’t?. Just not my cup of tea.
It’ll be back to BMS then. Not a bad thing. Need to see what the state of VR is there lately.
Or find some pointy nose jet in !-gasp-! MSFT FS (it may be useable enough soon for me to consider buying it). I’ll make “pew, pew” noises when I roll in on an Airbus

I don’t think I’d go that far. After all, the game is built upon its fidelity and we’re not even a year out from that fantastic F-4 launch. To me, the feels like a real stretch. We can safely assume the FM will be good. Deriving info from CFD models isn’t the worst idea, honestly.
My question is EW and RCS. It could be that this is a vehicle for improvement there. It HAS to be.

The great thing about DCS as opposed to War Thunder is that servers can simply choose not to include modules that don’t fit their desired play type. So you’re not going to be facing F-35s over Normandy … but you will be facing F-14As over Guam in your Zero when I make my WWII PTO mission thanks to the totally true documentary Final Countdown
