Talking of making things disappear, where can we get the good stuff like mines and demo charges that have a better range to set them off, i have some ideas about using car bombs … mobile explosive devices  if we load the car then drive in to a outpost, park it near the big structure and walk out … :sunglasses:

EDIT…you cant seem to attach the item to a car, it just puts it on the ground underneath the car, and you cant retrieve it when placed …Note, please take care when driving in Nagades … there is a large unxploded IED on the main road

I’ve been thinking about the same thing, but am not sure how to attach explosives to a vehicle to build a car bomb in vanilla arma. I’ve used ACE3 in the past and it’s incredible, but also adds a great deal of complexity.

I guess if the explosives are in the cargo, we can ‘command detonate’ it with an RPG from far away, and the explosives should magnify the blast I think.

I’m about to have lunch after church with the wife and kiddos, and then have a full pardon for the afternoon; I’ll be on in a bit.

I have just tested it in the editor…

I put an unarmed large IED in the truck parked it near the tower and hit it with an rpg, the truck didnt explode at once but after a few seconds boom … and took down the tower

@WarPig and myself just tried this on the outpost at Kore … and are sorry to say it didn’t work … but there will be a way (cue evil laugh)

Indeed!

It seems we must have had a storm last night, as unfortunately our medical tent blew away, nowhere to be found. Also the sandbags I put up to help fortify our base were missing; perhaps they’re not persistent like I assumed?

That’s what I thought when I didn’t see anymore the lights I put up.

Tempus and I made a good attempt at trying his idea, but it didn’t quite go off as we’d hoped.

We did manage a very clean takedown on a roadblock though, snagging some good stuff. Also stole another, larger fuel truck. After he left, I went back and took down the replacements as they were setting back up, so we’ve got quite a bit of decent basic rifleman kit now.

Also, I’m sorry for what they did to your SUV @komemiute. I dragged the swiss-cheesed hulk back to base and perhaps we can put those stolen tools to good use.

BWAHAHAHAHA No worries man! That model can be bought for a handful

Those tools we liberated from the snap-on man (you probably don’t have those in EU, but very pricey ones here) managed to put it back together 100%.

Should be setup in a day or so, been sidetracked with farm stuff.

Mods look straightforward, don’t they always?

Yea I’m in deep with the snap on man…

Recruited a couple AI rifle teams, and took the resource site! Looted 4x nearly full boxes of weapons and gear, took them home and dispatched a road block that had popped up behind us in the meantime.

Unfortunately, upon my return trip to retrieve the other vehicle, I was greeted by our old friend comrade Gorgon.

Things did not go well… I would retrieve the other two vehicles at the site, but ran out of time for the day. Good stuff. Fighting the AI at night is much easier than in the day time.

Well done, that’s the second apc we have seen now after one ran @komemiute off the road, looks like we have to start packing some Anit tank stuff with us now

Looks that way. If I had shoot-n-scooted I wouldn’t have encountered it, but I left a squad there to try to hold it and went back myself to help and retrieve a vehicle.

One thought it gave me is that we might be able to blow the tires off of one and commandeer it. Hmmmm…

In my experience it’s typically the other way around here…
He should have to buy me dinner first before, y’know? :joy:

The idea of building up a team or two of AI is brilliant and something we should try to do more often.

Night attack also is smart thinking…
Congratulations to all parties involved.

Smashing job.
